You know what? It sucks bad enough to have a loss w/o having some people add to a thread posting lectures about what I should do and shouldn't do, especially when some of those same people blast others for doing the EXACT same thing. There's little that separates that from Nittany, in my book.

Do you really need to post asking me if I'm glad that I took Seattle when they tank in the later innings? I think the answer would be obvious.

As far as "Don't count your chickens ...." Well gee, maybe we should all just refrain from posting while a game is in progress. In that case you will be very busy, It's Gravy, but I'm also quite sure you WON'T be universal in who you lecture.

On the course!
Don't get mad at the guys, Red. Let's face it.....you were gloating when you thought you had an easy win. We all do that at some point in our gambling lives. You just need to "live and learn" like we all did.

I was in Vegas a few years ago, and had a bet on the Cubs/Houston game one afternoon. I forgot which team I backed, but they were up by 8 or 9 runs, and I was spouting off. The other team came back to win, and I felt like shit.

Strange things happen. I lost on Seattle last night, too.

I also had the runline.

You can still be happy that you DID have the runline.......it saved you money!

Good luck, and better days ahead.

YYZ, I understand where it might have looked that way, but the things I will never do here is gloat over a win or put down others when they lose, it's just not my style. I've been on the losing end far too many times to gloat.

What I was doing before this game was trying to decide if I should take the RL or not. When Seattle appeared to have it locked up by a ton I was basically saying I was glad I had chosen the RL instead of just a straight bet, that's all. If it was taken as gloating by some, I assure you, that wasn't my intention.

Anyway, didn't mean to get so defensive and I apologize to the above posters for jumping down their throats.

GL to you as well. No more wacky losses today or in the near future; that one was enough for a lifetime.

Hell, between that game and the Houston/Pirates a week ago, folks are bound to be edgy. Las nite I was on the right side for a change, but rememeber all to vividly how Houston self-destructed in the 9th. against Pirates and lost an 8 run lead in the bottom of 9th. I had Hosuton on the run-line there.
Let's regroup!
