Southeastern Conference commissioner Roy Kramer on Monday upheld the suspension of Georgia center Steve Thomas, who was ejected for fighting with two minutes left in Saturday's 75-72 loss at Auburn.

Thomas, a sophomore from Carrollton, will miss Tuesday night's game against No. 6 Florida in Stegeman Coliseum. The No. 21-ranked Bulldogs trail the Gators by a half-game in the SEC East. Thomas will return for Saturday's home game against No. 10 Kentucky.

Kramer also upheld the suspension of Auburn center Kyle Davis, who punched Thomas in the back of the head. Thomas then chased Davis to the Tigers' bench, starting a brief fracas near midcourt. Kramer and John Guthrie, the SEC's supervisor of officials, reviewed tape of the incident on Monday morning

decided to put this in the thread instead of starting a new one.....

Sophomore forward Jesse King will miss Texas A&M's game at Kansas State on Tuesday to attend to family business, Aggies coach Melvin Watkins said Monday.

"Jesse has to step away and return home to take care of some personal business," Watkins said. "He will miss Tuesday's game, but we hope he will be back soon. We will certainly look forward to his return."

A 6-foot-7 forward from Detroit, Mich., King has missed four other games this season, three because of injury and one due to the death of his grandfather in mid-December. King has appeared in 20 games this season, starting in 15, and is averaging 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds.
