Don't like going to the theater much nowadays as most of the stuff out there is garbage. Make a few exceptions here and there if I hear a great review from someone or if a preview looks interesting. So just looking to hear opinions on the flicks that are out now...anything worth watching?

Saw three movies recently, Signs, Minority Report and Bourne Identity.

BI and MR were outstanding. I loved the Ludlum series of books and damn Bourne Identity is a movie that is some serious nonstop action. Both these movies are excellent.

I guess I am kind of "over" M. Night Shamalyn. I didnt like Signs at all. Well, I shouldnt say that. It was somewhat entertaining in the way that any scary movie can have a few good moments. But I couldnt stand The Sixth Sense and to me, there is only so much of one director I can take. That being said, a ton of people lost their shit over this movie, so there must be something to it.

Bad time of the year for movies. Last good one that was out, and is still playing, is Signs. Otherwise, the past two months have been crap. Once November/December rolls around you'll see quality movies released hoping to get into the Oscar picture.

Even though it had a ton of critical and commercial success, I feel Signs is still not as appreciated as it should be. It's a fantastic movie, easily one of the best this year or in the past few years.

A decent movie, but not worth the $13.50 cost is MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING. It was filmed here in Toronto and is so typical of European families. Has its funny moments, and I did enjoy it, but wait till it comes out on video, great family film.

I really enjoyed Signs. Haven't jumped so many times since I saw Pet Cemetary opening night in the theater.

I saw the Four Feathers Saturday, and although it's a good movie, I was a little disappointed.

I thought One Hour Photo was excellent. I'm not a big Robin Williams fan, but he was GREAT in this movie.

Question about movies: y'all really go to the theater to watch them, if so do you enjoy it? Personally I hate going to the movies, I go to the movie theater once a year just to make my wife happy. Don't get me wrong I love movies, but just like to watch them @ home, just hate the whole theater thing and would rather wait until it comes on PPV, HBO, Showtime etc.

I hate going to the movies so much, I bought a 47" widescreen tv. If there is the rare movie so good I cant wait for DVD, I go see it. Otherwise nothing beats Gladiator in widescreen surround sound.

How about Gladiator on a 47 FOOT screen with 15,000W Surround sound?

I can understand not liking to go to the movies. I hate going to the 10 screen stadium seating places. But, I love going to a good, well run movie theater to see something on the big screen with big sound.

There are a couple of real nice theaters in Baltimore and that's a good night out, and I don't think spending $25 on two tickets, popcorn and soda is too much. I enjoy it as much as going out and spending $80 on dinner for two.

I also think comedies are better in the theater. If its good and everyone is laughing, that's a great time.

Speaking of Gladiator, my wife didn't want to see it, so I went to catch a matinee in, let's say, an "artsy" part of town. Anyway, I was sitting by myself in the back and in the middle of the movie a guy came down my row and asked me, "Can I sit in your lap?". I was pretty pissed, but I suppose that's what I get for going to see a sweaty shirtless gladiator movie by myself.

I don't know if they have 15000W sound at most places. I know the IMAX has like a 60000W system, so I kind of scaled that down.

Just saw "Trapped" at the theater.. It was pretty good.. My gf and I dont drink, party, or anything of the sort so movies is pretty much our thing.. Very boring, but here in central Wisconsin, its about all we got.. We end up going to movies 3-4 times a month, depending on whats out there..

I also think we've seen every movie at the local video store.. Thats no joke either.. I sort of have an excuse though.. I work 6pm-3am and those infomercials drive me nuts.. I usually pick up a few movies each week to watch after work..

I just bought a HUGE 63" TV from a buddy of mine for $350.. He needed $$ to make his house payment, and had to pawn off the tv! I'd have loaned him the $$, but I know I'd never see it again, so he sold me the tv.. It was too big for his living room anyways.. Life with the 63 incher is good!!!
