stumbled upon khalidov while scoping out other mma cards...he`s pretty impressive..

He really is. Santiago keeps seeing he can take this dude in the rematch, but I'm not so sure....as I remember that first fight was pretty clear cut....this should be interesting....

anybody else think khalidov resembles mousasi a bit?....calm....proficient striker as well as on the ground....even a physical resemblance...

not crazy about the immediate rematch aspect of the fight...i think that gives santiago a motivational edge....

from what i could catch from the announcers, santiago was -275 the first time around...

Mamed Khalidov , this guy is a real assassin and Jorge is a fraud who folds after one punch landed on his beard . Plus he always has his sunglasses on to hide his scared eyes :mj07: Mamed is from Grozny , Chechnya ... enough said ... dude probably killed bunch of people before running away to Poland .

khalidov didn`t get it done, but everyone else people liked on the card did including doggie hishino over denis......

we didn`t consider the scoring differences in japan...sounds like santiago was on his back for a good portion of the fight but tried some subs....that probably would have meant a loss in the states the way they score takedowns...

""In the main event of the night, Jorge Santiago laid his middleweight title on the line in a rematch against Mamed Khalidov. In their first encounter last November, Khalidov staged a shocking upset, catching Santiago off guard with a hammer fist off his back. This time, Santiago cautiously fought off wild strikes from Khalidov and secured kimura toward the end of the first round. He stayed busily from his guard in the second round, almost wrenching Khalidov's arm off with omoplata.

While Khalidov gained momentum in the third round with relentless attack from the top, Santiago persisted with submission attempts. Khalidov started to fade in the fourth round and while Santiago could not finish the tough KSW veteran, he cruised to unanimous decision victory. The judges awarded him 48-47, 48-47, and 49-47 on the score card.""

Jorge Santiago Def. Mamed Khalidov via Decision 3-0

7. Akihiro Gono Def. Diego Gonzalez via decison 3-0
6. Maximo Blanco Def. Chang Hyun "Armbar" Kim via KO Round 1
5. Marlon Sandro Def. Tomonari Kanomata via KO Round 1
4. Yoshihiro "KISS" Nakao Def. Henry "Sentoryu" Miller via TKO Round 2
3. Yuji Hoshino Def. Nick Denis via submission (guillotine choke) Round 2
2. Leonardo Santos Def. Kiuma Kunioku via submission (rear-naked choke) Round 1
1. Shigeki Osawa Def. Kyung Ho Kang via Decision 3-0

Pretty much no surprises it looks like , many people thought Denis was the underdog in this one anyway .
Blanco at - 170 was sick offer but he cost me money on the DQ before so this guy is not so great to bet on .
Sandro is going to be an absolute beast , actually he already is . If not the robbery against Omigawa he would be 17-0 now .
Surprised Khalidov lost but looks like it could have gone either way plus I heard Mamed faded late into the fight .

Blanco is one vicious dude

the Sandro-Omigawa decision was one of the worst of all time....worse than Hioki-Omigawa...17-0 in my mind as well
