At every senior prom the disc jockey announces the last dance . Having been to over 35 senior prom we teachers and administrators can't wait for that announcement. The long day of chaperoning is nearing an end. We have worked all night making sure kids don't leave early,no drugs or alcohol no one is having sex in their dance routine or close to it and some of the girls outfits aren't exposing themselves to much. Its a long day and many of us are tired. We also have to make sure there aren't to many soap opera's with couples breaking up and jealousy issues. I don;t miss that in retirement .
But now comes the final dance for the 4 basketball teams left in the NCAA's / North Texas already won the Junior prom and the CBI was won by Charlotte another conf USA teams . Can FAU make it a sweep. I doubt it but they can cover maybe

UConn -5,5 over Miami **
Huskies have been steam rolling over everybody . But Hawkins is questionable . Wasn;t his coach sick when he played for Duke and had the runs in the championship game.Huskies have an air craft carrier in 6'9 Sanogo and 7'1 Clingan . Jackson who was moved around now is an assist machine. Hawkins can shoot . This team has all the makings of a championship team . I still think Hurleys father who sits behind his son knows more about basketball then anyone in this hemisphere. And I' sure some how communicates with his son. . But I love the Miami coach. A fellow bronx boy coached and played at Archbishop Molloy and knows how to adjust during the game. His players beat Texas but when he put his smaller line up with 4 gds out there Texas didn't react in time and never recovered. That is coaching. Canes have Wong and Pack and think that can keep them in this game but Huskies with their bigger front court win in the end . Both these teams can score. I lean with Huskies tonight . But small play because I don't see an advantage either way If Miami won and covered I wouldn't be surprised or shocked . If this was a regular season game would probably pass on it.

FAU +2 over San Diego St ***
I need FAU to win outright for my prop bet to be alive. I love FAU . They avg just under 80 pts a game but they play good defense. Drake and FAU have been my sleeper teams . Drake is long gone but I played FAU to win the Senior Prom and be declared King . If they win tonight I will hedge them in the next game regardless of who wins the other game. I get to sit back with my feet up and watch both teams play with a guarantee winner for many *****'s But the Owls have to win not just cover.
Aztecs play outstanding defense and have size. They are older and more experienced But FAU can score with there 3's FT % and Davis and Boyd. They already played against one of the best defenses they seen all year North Texas a fellow conf foe and scored 46 and 62 pts but won both since they scored 50 and 66. Martins play has been outstanding and they do have a 7'0 ft kid in Goldin and 6'8 fd in Rosado . I heard the CBS announcers predict Aztec's will shut down the Owls I don't think so . And again Owls do so well on offense their D is over looked .. I'll take the +2.5 but I really need a win tonight.
Good luck I think I was just radioed by one of my chaperones that a couple is looking to leave the dance w/o permission early. Gotta run and check the parking lot

forgot to mention watched Caitlin Clark last night for the 1st time I have seen her highlights on ESPN but never a full game. wow What a player . Everyone talks about her shooting but her passes were more impressive They had for the 1st time 3 female officials are they were bad. They missed so many calls and if it was 3 male refs think maybe the game was so physical it was hard to call. But there were hacks and pushes not called. Caitlin was hit on a few drives and no calls were made so she wasn't getting super star treatment. But she can play and was very impressed with her game. Kinda think no matter who officiated that game it would be tough to call but the NCAA wanted 3 girls and it was a poorly officiated game in my opinion. And I never ever talk about the refs . My 1st year being in the state finals in NY we played the eventual champion and got mauled by the other team. We had one ref from my area representing our section and he told me before the game the team you play is very physical and when you get this far" they let you play" My team wasn't physical enough because we won our conference, won our sectionals and won our regional and won our 1st final 4 game. Then in the championship game they allow reaching in over the tops, etc

Good stuff Box. Always like your posts. Don't visit here like I used to but I do come around a little here and there. Main ones I follow lately are you and Jord20.

I also watched Caitlin Clark for the first time last night. I took Iowa +12 (bought a point) and the moneyline (5-1) and it was awesome. I rarely ever watch the women's game but it was really good and yes the refs missed a lot of hacks and over the backs etc.

I like UConn and FAU as well but will buy FAU up to at least 3 maybe 4. Some people buy and some don't...I buy but I do it consistently and my own certain way....certain key numbers etc.

I picked a lot of upsets early including Princeton but ended up w all four #1 seeds in my bracket. Actually finished 2nd but we only had 10 people in it. I loved Drake too and thought that Miami got some calls late that screwed Drake out of advancing. I had Drake in Sweet 16. Also, what did you think about the call reversal near the end of the Texas/Miami game? Really changed the game and it just seemed like the Texas guy was boxing out and the Miami guy jumped so that made it look bad as he went down. Maybe they could have just changed it to a double foul and played on. Texas blew it anyway but it was tied at that point late and the call reversed gave Miami, after the 2 free throws, a 2 point lead and of course they prevailed.

I think UConn will beat them by double digits but hoping that the winner of the other game at least hangs around in the title game. Oh and I had Houston winning it all in their own city. I don't know anything about LSU (women's) but it seems too easy to take Iowa Moneyline which is what I want to do. I'm not gonna bet against Clark but will have to do at least a little research on that one.

Oh nooooo I win the game but lose my prop bet for Monday Aztecs won on the bds esp off bds . Golden missed some big FT's but that was a game you can go back to and see a number of things " if Happened " TD good hearing from you FAU covered and we both won that bet but I was getting greedy looking for a home run on Monday but I will take the double or triple OFF rebounds and keeping the ball alive was the key of the game. Lets go Huskies

I had moneyline too. Had a great night but could have been so much better w that. I thought the refs were terrible the last few minutes. Golden was bad but the one play he made, the huge block, they called a foul. They called another phantom foul on a missed layup. A guy for FAU goes flying after getting bumped and no call followed by the same thing at the other end and a whistle. The offensive rebounding last few minutes did kill them too but they dominated for so long and then they just can't get a rebound. I think you called it earlier how they just "let them play" but the letting them play seemed one-sided at the end. That said, of course I was biased. Just frustrating to watch after they played so well.
Butler came within an inch of stepping out of bounds on that last play. I couldn't believe they didn't call timeout but it worked out for them. Pretty sure UConn is gonna destroy them though lol
