Like Oregon -8 that won't last i got it today...Arizona showed nothing against N.Texas Saturday...

Actually my numbers had N. Texas winning by 5. Then again I normally have trouble with that conference.

* Listened to 4th qtr of Rice game LW, it was exciting battle with fresno, I had Owls and they fought their tails off and lost heartbreaker, taking lead with two 80 yard drives only to see fresno strike back ... Owls had tying FG att. on final play and missed ... after game Hatfield came on radio and was bursting with pride for his team, very classy, said Rice's last 2 drives were as gutty as any of his teams have ever produced ... I am thinking he took that attitude into his hurting team's locker room and they will have an upbeat week and be ready to produce for their coach ...

also, LY La. Tech beat Rice in OT, 41-38 in LT land

rice is now 14-3 ATS as HD under Hatfield and 19-5 ATS in October

this looks like nice little play for Owls once again ... I respect LA techs schedule, but their 3rd straight road game might be a lot to ask--however, that said, they do have an explosive OFF. and definitely a come down facing Owls D compared to Nittanies and A&Ms last 2 weeks

Well first of all

Let me get this cleared up. Yes, I'm from Kansas but I'm a Jayhawk fan (hoops) at heart. However I do root for K. St too.

That being said....

And I know common opponent comparisons can be poison in this "capp'n" business of ours but...mainly I'm going by when these teams met USC recently.


Trojans held Buffs to 4 FDs & 61 TYs

In comparison the Wildcats gained 19 FDs & 347 yds.
Throw in a 44 pt edge K St in those meetings.

Yes, I'm bucking the normally solid series home play here.

K St on runs of 7-1 & 37-16 but a shabby 3-8 on road off 2 HGs.

CUs 8-2 as series host & 5-1 as HD but on a 1-4 run.

USC was more of a lean than anything. But a definite play nonetheless.

How can you doubt these Trojans ? The smothering "D" vs Colorado & Oregon St. have been 2 of the most impressive stats this season. Holding those 2 to a total of 3 pts , 12 FDs & 192 yds!!!

The "D" makes the difference in this game.

W St. is an impressive 11-2 in league HOs but a hedious 0-6 before Stanford.

USC 7-2 as RDs & 3-1 as series visitor.

I liked it better when no one respected us at all.

Alab Looks like about 5 or 6 point win in a low scoring game.
Ka St I like the best by 10.
Dont anyone forget about Iowa wins by 14.

Senor Capper - With you on Kansas State this weekend. Although CU has had the edge in the series losing Ochs cost them a shot against the big boys in the conference. Also, Kansas State is my sleeper team and I really believe that Texas will knock off Oklahoma only to lose at KState the following weekend. Nice job so far this year and keep up the good work!

Visitor is 7-0 ATS in Navy games by an average of 22 pts & the dog is on a 25-10 spread run in AF tilts.



Other trends I like:

Series pup is 11-3

Air Force is on a 4-0 run, but is 0-7 before BYU & just 3-9 as HF.

Navy is 41-19 on the road & 7-0 as RD of more than 19.5 pts.

Middies are also 8-1 on the road of SU win

Senor you may know this but if not. Im going to becarfull with Rice. They are not playing at home on there old fake rug. This game is being played at the new Houston stadium that has grass. Tech does play on grass so they get a little advantage over the home team Rice for that part of the capping process. At least by me they do.

but yes I already knew that.
I'm looking at it like this..
Tech has been out-rushed 298-42 & 206-79 the past 2 weeks which will prove fatal vs the Owls whose overland game (thanks again) has been dominate the past 3 games.

Last year....
Owls fought back from a 31-0 deficit (31-3 at the half) tying it with 3 minutes left & then had the winning 42 yd FG partially blocked as time ran out .
Tech won by 3 in OT.
Guess what the line was ? Yup + 3, I pushed.

Trends that may not matter.....

Rice is on a 8-0 run as HD & 13-3 in 2nd league HGOY.

Tech on a 14-8 run but on a 0-5 run

Rice outright by 1 - 6 pts
