(521) ORL Magic
(522) LA Clippers
Take "(521) ORL Magic" Play Orlando!
It?s been a frustrating week for Orlando, with a pair of last second losses to the Nets and Rockets. They?ve had a strong season under new Coach Stan Van Gundy, with an incredible 15-5 SU, 15-3 ATS record on the road! They take on a stumbling Clippers team that has only two wins against plus-.500 teams this season -- the Warriors and Nuggets -- and have lost eight of their last nine games. Tim Thomas is battling a sore knee, Elton Brand is out, while Sam Cassell continues to battle injuries. They average just 90 ppg at home, where they are a miserable 5-11 SU, 6-10 ATS. Play the Magic!

SMOKIN Dave Cokin
569) Denver
(570) New Orleans
Take "(569) Denver" Dave has another guaranteed college parlay winner tonight, and just like the last two, this combo is set to sweep again. Go 2-0 or the rest of January is FREE. Just $25 for Dave's guaranteed parlay, available now at his Solid Gold Club!... "Just looking at the records, the number on tonight's Sun Belt duel between Denver and New Orleans looks okay. The Pioneers are just 6-8, while UNO is 11-4. But a closer examination indicates that these teams are actually very close, and I believe the contest would be dead even on a neutral court. The Privateers are therefore laying too many in my estimation, and I'll step in and take what I feel is excellent value with Denver."

East Carolina (+30') at MEMPHIS
Take the points with East Carolina tonight when they travel to take on Memphis.
Despite this being the conference opener for Memphis, the Tigers could be in a letdown spot tonight.
That's because they played a tough non-conference schedule against the likes of Arizona, Georgetown and Usc. Now they must find a way to get up for an Ecu team they are heavily favored against.
Since the Tigers know they basically just have to show up to win, I don't expect them to keep going full throttle for the duration tonight.
Ecu has improved its perimeter game this year, hitting 46.7 percent of its 3-point attempts in the last three games. That should help them stay within the big impost tonight.
Take the points with Ecu as they stay within the big number.

Mississippi (+10) at TENNESSEE
We know Mississippi hasn't won in Tennessee in nine straight tries, but we don't have to get a win today to cash our ticket. We just need the Rebels to hang close and that's exactly what they'll do.
This game will come down to the wire as the undefeated Rebels are good and have rattled off 13 straight wins to start the season. And there are some nice wins in there with a victory over Clemson 85-82 as three-point underdogs back on dec. 22. The Rebels also beat Depaul 69-63 this season and went to Central Florida and beat a pretty good team on its home court 76-67 as three-point chalk.
Tennessee has been off since playing in Seattle against Gonzaga on Dec. 29, so there might be a little rust as the Vols play just their second game in 16 days. And other than Gonzaga, there really isn't anybody of note on the Tennessee list of wins this year. The Vols played Texas on a neutral court and got drilled 97-78 as a 6 1/2-point favorite.
This game looks like it's going to be tight throughout as both average 86 points a game and both give up right at 70 points a game.
Last time these two met was a little less than a year ago when Mississippi scored an 83-69 home win as three-point favorites.
Let's take our chances with the undefeated Rebels in this one. We're getting a lot of points and can see this one coming right down to the buzzer.

Selection: Drake -9.5 (-110)
Reason: Put us down on Drake -9.5 for our Free College Basketball Selection on Saturday. Today Indiana State will be on the road as they take on Drake. We will lay the points with Drake. Drake has the much better offense and defense. Indiana ! State (on the road) is scoring an average of only 62.2 points per game, while Drake (at home) is scoring an average of 78 points per game. Indiana State (on the road) is allowing opponents to score an average of 72.5 points per game, while Drake (at home) is allowing opponents to score an average of only 54 points per game. The bottom line, Indiana State struggles when playing on the road. In fact, Indiana State is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games. Lay the points with the home team! Take Drake -9.5!

Detroit Pistons +2.5
Wed Jan 9 '08 9:05p
The Detroit Pistons and the Dallas Mavericks prepare to go head to head an key EAST /WEST heavy weight battle this Wednesday night . The visiting Pistons had an 11 game win streak snapped last time out at home against the powerful Boston Celtics, and will be primed and ready to get back on track, against an equally hot Mavericks team, who are on a 4 game win streak that includes victories in 9 of their L/11 overall. Both these teams are currently in top form, but the Pistons have shown a tremendous amount of resiliency and toughness this season, against all comers and are currently according to my own personal power rankings the superior team in this matchup, even though Dallas has home court advantage. Final notes & Key Trends: Detroit is 6-0 ATS L/6 against Southwest division teams, and have covered 6 of the L/8 meetings in this series. Play on the Pistons

Strike Point from Doc's Site
Rhode Island +3.5 over Dayton
Two thriving A-10 schools collide, both with Big Dance aspirations. Dayton has knocked off the likes of Pitt, while the Rams took care of Syracuse in the Dome. And in this one it will be the underdog that comes through with the victory. Rhode Island has been awfully good on offense, led by one of its trio of top scorers in Will Daniels. He'll turn in a good effort to earn a victory for his squad in Ohio tonight.

Take Duke Blue Devils
1* on Duke -11.5 The Dukies will have no problem dismantling Temple tonight. This game is being played at a neutral site which will further Duke?s odds of covering this small spread Wednesday. Temple is coming off a 17-point loss to Florida at a neutral site location. The Gators lost all 5 starters from last season and they clearly are not as good as Duke is this season with 4 returning starters. Temple will be overmatched once again tonight. Temple is 0-12 ATS versus good 3 point shooting teams making better than 37.5 of their attempts over the last 2 seasons. Temple?s offense isn?t explosive enough to contend with all the 3-point daggers the Blue Devils will throw in Wednesday night. Take Duke and lay the points.

Charlotte Bobcats at Boston Celtics
Wednesday, January 9th, 7:35 PM ET
I'm laying the points with the red-hot Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Boston continues to roll, but may be without Ray Allen until the weekend. However, the team is deep and obviously experienced and take on a Bobcat squad that's 0-7 ATS when playing in revenge off a loss so far this season. Boston beat Charlotte in November and will have little trouble slamming the Bobcats on Wednesday. Look for the Celtics to stay focused with a 20 point win.

BIG AL
Iowa Hawkeyes +13.5 over Ohio State Buckeyes
Duke vs. Temple (NCAAB) - Jan 9, 2008 7:00 PM EST
Play: TEMPLE
At 7 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Temple Owls plus the points over Duke. Let's play on the Temple Owls as an underdog on Wednesday night. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
