I have been gambling for a few years now, sometimes very successful, other times not. I was wondering people's opinion about the numerous amount of services out there. I have been receiving so many calls lately from these guys. Often times giving me one or two free picks and then expecting me to pay them because they win two in a row. I have recently convinved a guy to give me 4 picks, he is 2-2. Well hell, I can go 2-2 on any given day or few days with very little research. On the other hand I know people who love services and make quite a bit of cash with them. What do you all think of services and if you like them, how in the world do I know what is the best one to join?

I would only add that only salesmen call you. They are after your money, not interested in your well being. Also, there are people that post here free that obviously win consistently over time. Although I cap my own games, this is the one place I do look at what others say and do. Look for the people with the most views to their posts, pick one or two out that do well over time and use them if you need advice...GL TO YOU...

One more thing...if they won't leave you alone try this...Ask them to hold for a minute and set the phone down and go about your business. Come back in 20 or 30 minutes and simply hang up. They will get the message pretty quick. Time is money to them, they are salesmen...GL...

Screw services. They don't know anything more than you do... and they probably know less. Most aren't doing any handicapping, all they are doing is selling you a promise. A promise to give you more crappy picks if the ones they are giving you now don't work out.

Absolutely no reason to ever pay anyone to pick games, but I think you already know that....

Thats kinda what my thouhts were, but wanted to here some others too. This guy that is bothering me has given me 6 free picks, gone 4-2, nothing special at all. He's also a big talker, telling me he can get me 3 nights and 4 days at the Bellagio, he has asked for 150. Today when he calls I am going to tell him the check is in the mail as soon as my room is booked and I can confirm it with the hotel. I figure the 150 would definitely be worth that!

Sounds like crap to me. Again I mean no disrespect to the guys on these boards that make a living out of it, and there are many. But in terms of the phone hucksters, the guys you are talking about, I would wager this. Take any Joe Mo on Madjacks, I bet his winning % falls in the top 50% or higher when you rank the phone hucksters services over any period of time. Remember, if these picks are SO HOT and SO LOCK then why arent they just betting on all their hot picks, why waste time calling you? One of their favorite scams is you pay say $500 for their full football weekend card, but the whole next week is free if they hit under 50%. Wow thats great, a week of shite for $500 then a free weekend of shite if that doesnt work out. Hell you want winning, look over in the golf forum, something like +700 units there for last season.

Thanks a lot everyone, you've really confirmed my feelings regarding this issue! Considering I am a telemarketer right now while I am going to college, I had a huge suspision these guys were just gambling telemarketers.

Another scam they use is to give out both sides to to same game. say they call 500 people, 250 win and 250 lose. They then call the 250 that won and give 125 people one side and the other 125 the other. the next day they call the 125 that are 2-0 and give 62 one side and 63 the other. You now have 62 people who went 3-0. They really lay it on as to how good they are and pressure them into paying big money, after all they never lose, at least it appears that way...
