Va Tech was swept by Virginia and they were crushed by BC at home late in the year. I don't really feel too bad for VT, but still think they should have received a bid over Clemson.
Colorado on the other hand is assinine. I watched their game on Friday night in person and the Buffs would have been a real threat in the tourney. Now they'll probably lose early in the NIT since they'll be so dejected.

I don't give a shit about any of these teams. I rarely even watch a game anymore. It's all about money to me.

People who think that VT and Colo should be left out over teams like VCU, UAB, and Clemson make me laugh

The only thing that makes me kind of upset, the committee basically honors Duke or UNC for winning the ACC each year and most likely rightfully so, but its not good enough to get extra teams in such as VT. UAB or VCU should not be in the tournament either. I mean PSU gets in as a 10 seed going 19-14 because they make it to the final of the lowly Big 10 conference. The criteria is all over the map, and how about Bama pretty much having similar credentials of Georgia and beat them twice, but Georgia who was supposed to be one of the last teams in gets an 8 seed. Michigan gets an 8 seed not beating anyone in top 25 all year. Nova who goes 5-10 last 15 games losing last 5, gets in because they beat Cuse earlier in the year and are in the Big East. We can go on and on....

couple teams prolly coulda/shoulda made it, couple prolly dont deserve it over others, but it comes down to one thing
WIN YOUR GAMES. if you win alll your games you will be in the dance. if you dont win sorry. i am not saying go undefeated, but if VA TECH wins 4-5 more games this year, they are in. They had an oppurtunity to beat good teams and get in, but they didnt do it enough. same with colorado.
I think colorado and va tech both deserve it more then vcu/uab, but honestly dont feel bad at all.
Win and your in, lose too many and your not. pretty simple formula if you really think about it.
COLO and VA TECH really weere not going to make a big run for the title IMO, so oh well.

everyyear there are teams left out, and every year there is complaining. it is never gonna happen where everyone is happy so just enjoy the tourny the way it is, and accept the fact that not everyone gets to play in it. like i said, WIN MORE GAMES and you would be in.

no it isnt, if you cant make it in this year. you cant whine or cry about it.
just like when they expand to 94 teams and teams 95-100 cry bc they didnt get in.
give me a break, and just to reiterate all these teams everyone is arguing about stand 0% chance of getting to the elite 8 or beyond
Here is where I respectfully disagree.....
I don't have a dog in the fight, but it still doesnt mean that I can't care about it. I'm sure that next to nobody thought Butler would make the run they did last year. So by saying that Colorado and Va Tech has "no chance" to win it all is just wrong. Now...they really would have to play their asses off and get some luck along the way, but ya know what....luck is part of the NCAAs. Even the good teams benefit from having higher seeds knocked out ahead of them. (lord knows the Tarheels will need a lot of that this year :mj07: )
But Va Tech and Colorado both have demonstrated that they can beat good teams. VCU and UAB......not so much.
Don't take my tone here the wrong way. I'm not standing on some soapbox preaching. I just think it sucks when the wrong teams are in. Some years...you can't really tell who should be in and who shouldnt be......but it's pretty clear that VCU and UAB don't fit into this puzzle. Just sayin
