nice one IE......but playing hanna montana every night won't help matters..........:mj07:

Sorry Myron, its no laughing matter........

but having someone to talk would help, close friends, shrink, etc.....you need someone to lean on and get out what you're feeling and finding out what the root of where the depression comes from........

physical touch.....if you dont have a lady, or a dude, whatever way you swing....get out and meet people.....find someone you may have a connection with....worst case scenario, buy a hooker, but you need some lovin in your life

I know nothing about you, maybe you are married? are there problems at home, not getting the attention you need or your needs met? are you sick? relationship problems with you kids? Stuck in a rut at your job? Have a job? feel like you are going nowhere with your life? wonder what your purpose is?........

i guess find the root of your depression and go from there...........

Might try buying pet--young one if possible.
You will have house mate that is entirely dependent on you and will reward you with unlimited devotion.
It is time of year where many people generally become depressed--right after holidays--and doldrums of winter. Have heard-and firmly believe lack of light (sunshine) can lead to depression.
Don't know where you live or your resources-but if possible- take a couple days trip to somewhere warm--spend as much time as possible outdoors--and it will pay dividends on beating winter blues.

what's the bet thing for severe depression besides drusg?

Move to AZ, FL, or CA. That is the long term solution. Short term- exercise. If that's not gonna happen, I would go to a tanning salon w/quality high pressure beds. You'll be amazed by how many good things happen when you have a nice tan. :00hour

Myron, actually the tanning bed is a great idea. Professionals will tell you to do it. It's basically because of the vitamin D or something, that's why people in areas with more sun tend to be happier. (not everyone just more than people in non sunny areas). Also, you can take 5-htp. It's a supplement that is a natural version of anti d's. It helps your body produce more serotonin which will make you happier as well.

Good luck and don't let it go too far. I got depressed about 5 years ago and refused to do anything about it. Well 9 months later I finally took some Zoloft and within 3 months I felt better, life changed and I was able to stop taking the Zoloft.

Things are never as bad as they seem (and vice versa). As some of the things above, keep yourself occupied and involved in something.

I like to do something that absorbs my mind elsewhere. One thing I found that works is people watching. I'm talking really out there, bone in the nose, tatt's galore, a million piercings, the Salvation Army get up from top to bottom, rolling their own smokes, totally fuking out there. It really separates me for a good chunk of time. If I'm really up to it, I'll get involved in some conversation somehow. I usually find these type at artist/musician type places, restaurants, or neighborhood bars. Totally fascinates me when I need the distraction.

Hope you find an answer that works for you Myron.

i`m pretty depressed ,too,my man......hilldog vs john mclame?(mccain`s so old he has trouble remembering to sit up straight)...

if you`re in clinical depression, then it`s probably a chemical or physiological disorder and you might need to see a doctor...

if you`re like me and just bummed to the point of barfing,go to the video store and get a "tai chi" video....

i recorded a woman teaching tai chi off public television and her voice and the motions are so soothing that if i put it on,i`m relaxed and fall asleep in a matter of minutes....

it`s like soothing white noise......

i kid you not...

good luck...see that doctor...
