The Bodog Sportsbook is offering both odds to win and head-to-head wagering for all 2005 US Open tennis matches at Flushing Meadow, New York.

Maria Sharapova is hot ? and not just for the reasons you might think. The Russian beauty is the top-seeded woman heading into the U.S. Open, which starts today.

?Before watching Sharapova on the court, remember to check out her chances for victory,? says Calvin Ayre. ? Sharapova has been on a tear this season, and earlier this month unseated Lindsay Davenport as the No. 1-ranked player in women?s tennis.?

The 18-year-old has won eight of her past 11 WTA events and has a 43-7 record in 2005. Good stuff, but not good enough to be the U.S. Open favorite. Kim Clijsters, who has won three straight hard-court events, is 2/1 in the Bodog.com Sportsbook to win; Sharapova is 4/1.

On the men?s side, Roger Federer is the overwhelming favorite at 1/3. Federer, the defending U.S. Open champion, has won 28 straight matches on hard court and has been ranked No. 1 for 82 consecutive weeks. Without a doubt, Roger Knock-it is on a phenomenal run. His main competition figures to come from No. 2 seed Rafael Nadal, who also has won nine titles in 2005 and has done it with a fist pump that threatens to rival Tiger Woods? for the most famous in sports.

Fan favorites Andy Roddick, the fourth seed, and No. 7 Andre Agassi are in the same draw and could meet in the semifinals.
