You would think that a guy that's won this event twice and came in second twice would be the favorite. But noooo. Oh well, thanks for the inflated odds.

Appleby to win 23.00

My one and only out has the worst 72 hole m/u's out there. That's why I can't make very many plays. I miss the old days, all of 2 years ago. At one time, I had 6 outs, and it took hours to figure who was going to get my action. Today it takes 5 minutes and no one gets the money.

all outrights had a winner on romero last week
100-1 at las vegas hilton but of course did not post.

Austrailians have done well here in the past but i have given up on my boy allenby, and i got appleby 80-1 to win the masters next week.

Watson 50-1 10 units played well before here

Van Pelt 100-1 10 units seems high for someone
due to win sometime and there have been first timers here before

Maggert 80-1 10 units lives in houston but no one from houston has won this tournament yet

Armour III 80-1 10 units thoght odds should have been higher but played great last year

Elkington 80-1 10 units playing well but maybe another houston jinx

The first three months of the season have passed, so it's time to increase the stakes to their 'normal' levels, plus branch out to other Tours.

Round 1 plays (2pts):

Stuart Appleby to beat Geoff Ogilvy -105 @ Five Dimes and Carib
Tag Ridings to beat Chris Stroud -115 @ Five Dimes
Jeff Maggert to beat Steve Elkington -115 @ Carib
Steve Stricker to beat Geoff Ogilvy -110 @ Bet365
Hunter Mahan to beat Robert Allenby -110 @ Five Dimes
Fred Couples to beat Davis Love -110 @ WSEX [also available at Unibet and Pinnacle]
Ryan Armour to beat Dean Wilson +100 @ Five Dimes

Too many qualifying plays to provide reasons for ... the prices would have changed by the time I finished (as was the case with the Adamonis over Campbell match which is now scratched at -130)!

Round 2 plays (2pts):

Frank Lickliter to beat Jose Coceres -128 @ Five Dimes
Both players are well down the leaderboard (though Lickliter is two shots closer to the cut) and both respond very differently in this situation. When at least 10 shots off the lead after 18 holes, Coceres has made the cut only once in 41 attempts, averaging 73.8; Lickliter has made the cut in 12 of 47 attempts, including the last two and averages 71.5 in the 2nd round

Jason Bohn to beat Jason Day -128 @ Five Dimes
Two players just outside the cut mark, but Bohn looks better-placed to score low today after ranking 27th in greens in regulation yesterday (Day was 81st) and should be far more confident than Day who has missed his last four cuts
