Tragedy almost struck when an early morning brawl at a central valley on line casino became gunfire Saturday.
Fortunately, Las Vegas police stated nobody was hit.
Officers have been referred to as to the Gold Coast On line casino, 4000 W. Flamingo Rd., about 2:30 a.m. to look into calls about gunshots.
Lt. Rick Given, a Metropolitan Police Division supervisor, stated 4 photographs have been fired throughout a melee between two teams of individuals on the on line casino. Each teams left the scene earlier than officers arrived.
Detectives are utilizing surveillance footage to determine the brawlers, Given stated. No arrests had been introduced as of seven:30 a.m.

Becoming? I knew that the first week I was working in the hospital. Dude on one side of the hallway who has been shot, and the dude that shot him is across the hallway bc the police shot him. Homeless galore, terrible heroin abuse, etc. Many great people in LV though; hard to see or notice though with all the bad things.

I made some solid friendships in my 5 years of wintering there, lots of great old time local people.
A shout-out to Larry, a Vietnam Buddy who has lived there since 1964...yes, I agree, you should have bought a big chunk of property in what is now Summerlin....



Vegas imho has become a highly condensed version of rapidly declining modern society.
Lack of morals and civility, fueled by transient population,booze, drugs, gambling and catering to the lifestyle.
They have contributed to create the modern Vegas.... a rapid decline into a future real serious shit pit.

A few high profile shoot outs at Venetian, Bellagio, and some other upscale
locations will add nails to the coffin before they run out of water.
I am amazed there are not metal detectors at all entrances..

I still think it's becoming. You see the everyday local populous in your line of work. The tourist has never really had to deal with the "city problems". I started going to Vegas in 1986, and you could walk the streets day or night without ever hearing about any troubles. I would say in the last 10 years is when the influx of 'shit' started over flowing to the Strip.

Porn slappers and timeshare people used to be the only concern for visitors. Now, there are bums every ten yards who want your money, and every weekend the gangbangers from LA drive into town to bring their "thug life" with them. Currently, these assholes are killing each other, but we are right on the precipice of tourists being rousted by these scumbags on a regular basis.

By and large, you can still "enjoy" Las Vegas, but I seriously think those days are winding down at a rapid pace.
