with the internet or online services you can now access shows that you may have never seen the first time around.
here are some shows that I discovered the good and bad.
1. Wall Street Warriors : bad this was on some specialty channel and lasted two years. the first 5-6 shows are average to good, they track traders, bankers and brokers.
also there is a defination of certain terms in the middle of the show, they dropped that.
best part of the show: multi millionaire traders discussing how you can still be cool with only 3 million, over lunch. that is great tv...., and funny., dumb.
worse: most of the people they follow have no problem also the two brokers from texas show that most people managing money just sell, and have no idea how to trade... better with a ten year old to manage money.
as it goes on it gets worse.
2. The Wire okay not a business show but never saw it the first time around. was on for 5 years.
a great show, when compared to the crap on tv now, great and great, not the conventional show, but that is a plus...check it out.
3. CNBC documentaries : not all but many of the CNBC documentaries are interesting and can learn some decent information. do not watch much cnbc other wise. hate 20-30 second interviews.
4. Venture CBC : 1985-2007 now this is one I cannot track down but would like to, also not sure would want to see all of them, the show was 30 min. long and would talk about the economic factors, and then for 10-15 min follow some small business, operator. in the top 5% of all business shows, cannot find any past shows, they should bring it back.
jumped the shark : they went to hollywood to talk to cdn. celebrities. it was meant for people trying to run a store, or invent something....ect.
5. Superhomes BBC : not sure the title, because their is an ongoing series...this was 10 years ago and 5-6 shows.
these homes were 10++++million, but unlike those annoying lifestyles shows, you would learn about their world, bad and good.
a Russian had a home look like the factory he owned, reason of the 48 top business leaders, three were left a year later, the rest were killed. bathroom windows were like gold to russians.
covered britain, caribean, russia, New York, would like to track them down.
there are more, hope to get the last two.
