Hear my latest adventure with the first sportsbook north of the border.
I'm posting here because it'll get mpore attention than in the sportsbooks forum.
I usually deposit (ed) into SIA via their e-check / Swiftpay method. Have done that for over a year with no problems whatsoever. Last month I made 4 deposits after withdrawing a dime in late July. Proceeded to lose the balance remaining of roughly $700 - $800. Deposits are typically of $250. These were on 8/18, 8/27, 9/2 and 9/3, so I had pretty much returned what money I had just withdrawn. Good for them. Maximum deposit via that method is $500 a week.
After my last deposit on 9/3 I gradually worked my account up to $1,300.00 by 9/18. Mostly on bases, and during the week, since you can?t get in to wager on football or anything else on weekend anyhow.
I called to ask for a withdrawal of all funds on 9/18 because was fed up with their ?server? problems. Lo and behold, they tell me that my latest deposit made on 9/3 had been rejected because of an incorrect account number submitted, and proceed to ?expropriate? all funds from my account leaving the balance at $0.00.
The bank account that I use there is mostly for wagering and paying some small personal bills and had sufficient funds. I have made numerous deposits via the same method with the same bank account without a problem. I actually use the automatic filling drop down box of my browser and then check to make sure the numbers are correct. They say they found out about the incorrect account No. on 9/12, but never notified me about it until I requested a $1,295.00 withdrawal on 9/18.
Now, I have to say they never did take the funds out of my account for the last deposit, although in my bank account there does appear a withdrawal on 9/4 which was for the transaction made on 9/2. But these people usually take a week to 10 days or even more before they withdraw funds. I guess that quick withdrawal from my bank account should have been a sign that things aren?t well at SIA, huh ???
Anyhow, I would assume that the usual procedure, if I actually made an incorrect input of account No., would have been to call me or email me asking to re-deposit the funds or some similar measure. At this point I am assuming that THEY made a clerical mistake when entering the account No. and were covering their arses.
But they never informed me. And when I called them after they confiscated my balance they told me that in their rules they state that they can do this.
Now, I am no scammer, what?s the point? All I was looking for is a small book where I can make small deposits without the Neteller or WU hassle. Why would I make a false deposit when I?ve made probably dozens over the last year or so from the same account without a problem?
Their Cust. Serv., as usual, was terrible. I supposedly spoke to a ?manager? about it and she really said nothing except that that was the way it was going to be.
When I asked them why I hadn?t been made aware of the problem that they had ?supposedly? found out about on 9/12 (when my balance was only $418), they just repeated that per their rules they can void all wagers and confiscate my balance, no other explanation or apology or intent of looking for a solution.
When I see a book doing something like this and not even trying to settle in some way the issue, it tells me that they are not looking to stay in business for long. If I'm dumb enough to redeposit my money there, they will take it some other way. Hell they may be out of business by now from what I have read on the forums. NOBODY can even log on!
Fortunately I have several other books funded at this point VIA WESTERN UNION, but it still pisses me off that these incompetent little schmucks have made away with over $1,045 of MY MONEY (deducting the deposit). it's hard eneough to beat the damn book and then they pull crap like this on you.
These people WILL NOT be in business for long. BEWARE. Call them and demand answers and accountability for your funds there. If you don?t feel comfortable, TRY to get your money out, for your sake.
