S.C. Hope you don't mind me posting this under your thread.Been posting them in different threads and thought I'd continue till he loses. The capper is Minnesota Mike and after last week has ran Monday night steak to 11 straight. Here is his monday night selection.

"MON 11/26/01
Bucs vs Rams: Pulled out another close one LW on MNF extending the streak to 11-0. Rams suffered a lot of injuries to the defense in win LW vs Pats. This week they are in their cozy dome home where the refs are liberal to them. Bucs handed Rams a loss by TD late last season. Everyone remembers the PO matchup from a year before. This match is decided by TD or less. Bucs are losing a lot this year but not BY a lot. Count on HC Dungy to be prepared and have his team ready for this one. They are on the verge of being eliminated from the POs. They will put up a fight. I'm releasing this pick early as the line is dropping fast. It should have opened at 7.5 or 8, not 11. I like Bucs getting 10pts.
Take the Bucs."

tampa +10 or 11 is a very logical choice. as stated earlier, most of their games have been real tight. the top 4 guys don't pick out of a hat, and you have to give the pick some credibility. as a matter of fact, historically, when the top 5 guys or so show a consensus pick, it is usually a winner.

so why am i skipping this game?

personally, between tampa and dallas i have been on the wrong side app. 9 out of 10 times for as long as i can remember, so no matter how great the temptation, i will look elsewhere. and there are enough games out there for me. otherwise, i would also line up and take the points.

If I may jump in. If TB is the play and there is good reason to think so. I have to think over. How many times do you get St Lou at home 46 or lower. TB is throwing ball much more them selfs. TB D is some what over rated. They seem to give up the big one at wrong time. ST Lou D rates higher. TB gives up more on a yrd per rush then St Lou. TB gives up more yrds per play then St Lou. Both are throwing the ball over 70% of the time. Seems everytime this year we get two teams together that throw the ball over 70% of the time. Well points come a flying. And here they are in pefect weather, a dome. GL

that is exactly my problem with tampa. example: last week, at least they recognized that to beat chi you had to go to the air. unfortunately, they are not very good at it, so they still lost.

if they make the mistake of going to the air at st louis, they will lose by a ton of points, whether it is over or under.

here they have to go back to basics: run, keep the ball off st louis's hands as much as possible and play tough defense, rush the qb on ocassion, etc. otherwise, forget it.

having said all that, tampa has been struggling of late, and the line is really no bargain. my gut feeling says st louis big, but.....this game is still a big PASS.
