Well it looks like North American Airlines are cracking down on this.....

American Airlines canceled a teenager's 'skiplagging' ticket after realizing he wasn't planning to board the connecting flight to New York: report

Well if Airlines didn't rip you off in the first place, Skiplagging would not exist! Oh and it is not illegal, some of these people that get "kicked off" should file a lawsuit against the Airline that screwed them over.

Skiplagging has been around for decades (especially in Europe), Airlines all over the world have had to deal with it, but it wasn't a big deal for them many years ago because only a few passengers actually did it. That is no longer the case, and I guess Airlines are getting sick of it, but fuck them. As stated, if they didn't rip off passengers in the first place, Skiplagging wouldn't even exist.

Note: You can only "Skiplag" if you have no baggage checked, obviously if you have bags in the cargo hold, you are not going to "Skiplag".
