Wake Forest -12 over Smoo
I know Wake hasen't played in 11 days and that seems to be a major concern.So for the 1st 3 minuts they are cold.Then they will get serious for the next 37 minuts.
Wake is loaded.There young starting 2 puppies,2 teenagers,and Josh Howard.Williams is a 6'9, 270 pound puppy that is avg.13 pts a game.Gray is the other puppy at gd that can score.The two teenagers that have been at Wake only 1 yr are 6'8 Danelius at power fd who avg's a double-double and Downey at gd.
Howard is an All American.At 6'6 he is a swingman that can shoot,slash,and rebound.
Wake's frontline can rebound and score.Prosser plays his uptempo game and has the "greyhounds" to do it.Wake is 3-0 with a nice road win vs Wisky.
Smoo cannot rebound.There weakness is the frontline.They have Ross who is avg 27 pts a game.They have 2 road losses already vs Texas T,and Oral Roberts[but they are good]They beat North Texas and TCU.Those are 2 teams that have avg frontlines and aren't known for their defense.
Smoo is in trouble today.There defense is suspect.They have 2 fwds in Simpson and Castro that are 6'8 and 6'9.Ross and Isham are big gds but will have trouble penetrating the Wake defense.
Smoo has been outrebounded by almost eveyone it's played.They cannot hit the 3 shooting 14-67[20%] and are a poor FT shooting team at 67%.
Smoo is better suited for playing teams in the WAC conf.The style of play is different.Playing Wake away is asking a lot.Smoo's pt gd is Hopkins.He is Dements top recruit and is really playing well.But today he could be rattled a little by the Deacons.
Dement is one of the classiet coach around.In the late 80's he was the head coach at Cornell.Had some good teams there.Met him many times at clinics and camps.Unfortunatly he never recruited any of my kids.It never had to do with talent though.
Wake should win this by 15-20 pts.I'll buy the "rusty" line and see a closer game in the 1st half.But Wake will own the bds on both ends and Smoo will have trouble getting good looks all day.Ross will get his but everyone else will struggle.
Miami +10[?] over Charlotte
Both teams are somewhat disappointing.Canes have 2 studs at the fds in Rice and Jones.FSU spanked them last week.They also lost to Fl At.They are a good rebounding team but have no real shooters.Smart teams will take adv.of that.
Char is 2-0 at home but was beaten up by Davidson by 19.There top rebounder Clemons is out.There top players are on the frontline also.Withers,Sager and Johnson.
Char has a small adv. at gd where Brown has sparked this team.
But the line is 10 and I think the canes can hang around that number.
Small play-Zona -10.5 over Texas
Only because Texas can't shoot with any consistency from the outside.Zona would love to beat up on UT on national TV.
One strong play-Wake -12

small ones Miami and Zona
Hoops-your right about those guys at OCCC or RCCC.Your boy David B was 6'9 and could play at a higher level.But he only avg 7-8 pts a game.My kid that played with ES at the Empires was much better then him.He played juco and dropped out.Your other boy RM was the coach
