You back this year? You and I seem to be the only two on this board who semi-follow the sport.

I might post every now and then but F1 hasn't been very profitable lately.
It's always bad for betting if one team is above others and only way to go is high juice...

I agree. It is hard to grind out a profit, but if you choose spots carefully, I think an advantage can be found.

After the Aussie GP I picked off a price on Bottas to win the drivers championship at +1250. Also got Merc at -175 for the constructors. Looks like some books are following the sport much either.

Keep an eye on Racing point this year. For whatever reason Stroll qualified 16th on the grid after just a few lap attempts. Meanwhile, Perez qualified in 10th. Right before the start, during the pre-race interviews, they interviewed (I think it was) the lead engineer for racing point who said that Stroll has been the faster of the two all weekend despite the qualifying order and that it would be interesting to see how it played out on the track. I was never a huge fan of Perez (always liked his past teammate Ocon better) the last few years and I think Stroll is an excellent young talent. Sure enough, the final result practically flipped qualifying with Stroll finishing 9th and Perez in 13th. I got a nice juicy +220 on Stroll in that matchup just 5 or so mintutes before the warmup lap.

That -175 is money in the bank. Mercedes is this year even better than last year vs others and looks like Ferrari took step back when they let Kimi go. He is excellent developing and setting car up, now they lack his feedback and Vettel is practically alone with rookie (that will beat him at some point of the season).

Interesting to see if Alfa Romeo is able to develope their car or do they start fading when others take steps ahead. After all they have new car and nobody knows how good it actually is.

My plays for 1st race were Hamiltons pole +120 and Kubica to retire. 1-1.

:toast: Hamilton pole was easy, but Bottas performance was a big suprise. Main reason I decided to snap up that value on him to win the Drivers Champ was because the year Nico won it as Lewis' teammate, he also took the 1st race of the year in Aussie.

I had kubica small in a matchup vs his teammate. He should have retired. How fukcin bad is williams

i doubt Ferrari is that bad, last year they did well here so:

pole Vettel +300

combination podium finish (both drivers in top three): Hamilton & Bottas YES -150

To this, I'm suprised how well LeClerc looked in FP2. Bottas won this last year, no? I'll have to go back to the race report to see what happened with Ferrari in 2018.

last year:

1.
Vettel S.
Ferrari
1:32:01.940 57 1 1
2.
Bottas V.
Mercedes
+0.699 57 3 1
3.
Hamilton L.
Mercedes
+6.512 57 9 1

Leclerc is imo pretty good and as i said earlier will beat Vettel a couple of times.
Podium bet is good if merc is 2-3

current F1 is so boring at the times that Hamilton -300 is as easy as Orioles to lose... :SIB

Hamilton to win -300

Podium finish Bottas Noup +350

it's a tricky start for 2nd place: first corner is speedy left right and, like last year, it gets tight and 2nd place leads you to out side line. if first cars slow down here, pile up is ready.

Austrian GP

finally some shuffle, Hamilton gets grid penalty and Leclerc got pole.

i will add some bets tomorrow, but take this one early:

Bottas (starts 3rd) to lead any lap of the race -150 (i hope he doesn't crash in first corner...)

winning car Mercedes +225
