I don?t want to bitch too much but I just want to say this is one of the most snakebitten weeks I've ever had and it's gotten to the point where I've got to laugh because I'm so past the point of being frustrated.
It started Sunday with San Fran and a $1500 play on the Niners getting 4. Tied with 7 minutes left. Down 3 with 4:57 left. Great defensive play by GB, get picked off on GB 7. No big deal. The Pack won't go 93 yards with less than five minutes left. At worst, they'll get a couple first downs and run out the clock. Right? Wrong! The first loser down the drain.
Then on Monday it was $1000 on Ark-LR. Up 12 with 3 minutes to play laying 6.5. That one I can't even get angry at because they lost upright. Total collapse as I watched in horror on Fox Sports Net.
Tuesday. $1000 on Ohio if to $500 on Illinois. Laying 1.5 with Ohio, they blow an 8 point lead with 4 minutes left and have a 90 percent free throw shooter miss a front end of a 1 and 1 with 12 seconds left and lose by the hook. That's a $2600 swing with the back end winner on Illinois I never saw.
That's same night I had $200 on Pitt +5.5 if to $200 on Clemson. Pitt leads most of the game, goes to double OT, including one OT where a player has 2 FTs with no time on clock. Of course, he misses both. Then in second OT, Pitt scores with 2.4 seconds left on an uncontested layup to go up 5. For some reason, the Pitt player decides to commit a foul with one second left. Now Miami decides to hit their free throws. Another loser and $620 swing.
Last night it's $1000 on NC Wilmington laying 4.5 if to $500 on Rutgers. Up 5 with 3 seconds left after hitting free throws. Of course, Bill and Mary nails a long three with 2.1 seconds left. Another loser, another back end winner I don't see. Another $2600 swing.
Then for the final kick in the balls, Ark St -2. Up 3 with seconds left, Florida Int. hits a 3 to send it to OT. No big deal, Ark St. up 3, shooting FTs with 5 seconds left. Hits 1 of 2. Florida hits meaningless 3 at the buzzer. Meaningless to everyone except the bettors.
What a four-day ride this has been. It's almost to the point where I want to be losing the entire game rather than winning, just cuz I know I'm gonna snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
