On the course!
Do you know anyone who has it?

Do you know anyone who has had a fever recently?

Not in my general vicinity.

I don't even know anybody that got the regular flu this season and there have been 40 million cases vs a few hundred coronavirus cases.

I think I had the flu once in my life and that was back in the 80's. I never started taking the flu shot until 4 years ago because my doctor advised it was the wise thing to do for someone over 60.

I do think if we come in contact with coronavirus we are more likely to get it vs being in contact with the common flu.

You aren't likely to die if you get coronavirus but I am more likely to die than you because of my age, my COPD, and my hypertension.

Am I in panic mode? No. But I am aware and not going to do unnecessary activities because of it. Shit's spreading and spreading fast. Hell, even Fox News finally admitted that it's not a bad idea to stay the fuck home if you're 60 and older. I'm not going to stay home either but I'm not going on a cruise, or going to China or Italy, to a rock concert, or a big sporting event, or even fly to Vegas and expose myself to that germ infested city.

Am I crazy for thinking like I am? Maybe. Educate me then.

No you are not, yes if you are healthy and you get the virus, odds of you dying are remote, but if you get it and you are NOT HEALTHY (have health issues) then that ain't good. If I were you I would not be taking any trips to Northern Italy anytime soon.

But to put it in perspective, here in Canada you can volunteer (human guinea pig) to get the virus (get paid 20 grand) so the doctors/scientists can study the virus. That tells you something right there. Obviously there would not be "human guinea pig" experiments if the virus was a stone cold killer.

Bottom line if I were in your position I'd be careful, but I think a trip to Vegas is fine, a trip to Wuhan China, not so much, but I think you are over-reacting on the Vegas trip thing.

Better to error on the side of caution .
Things ?should? be better in a couple months until then I?m steering clear of large Public gatherings and I love to go to concerts and sporting events . I rather lose the battle now and win the war .

Unless you avoid every human being, what's the fucking difference?

Do the "large public gathering" people sequester themselves from being in groups of 10? Do the people who attend concerts not go to school? Work? Restaurants???

I would guess for each "known" case, there are hundreds of "unknown" cases.

89% of the dead in China were sick old people. Guess what? Sick old people die! I have no doubt this virus sped it along. I also have no doubt that normal, healthy people are 99% safe. You might get a cough, you might get the shits, but over the course of this virus, you will pull through.

Can you provide proof of this statement please? That's absurd. Why wouldn't they study the patients who already have it. I'm sure most would welcome the extra medical attention.

Happening in 3 different countries that I know of, here is one study being done in the UK......

https://nypost.com/2020/03/09/human...d-you-get-infected-with-coronavirus-for-4500/

Need to up the price a bit on that one though:0071

And to answer your question above, for most of the people that have the virus they don't know when and where thet were infected, in a controlled study you have the answers to those questions.

For me I guess it's the unknown factor. I would walk right into a room full of people that have the flu but no way do I walk into a room full of people with this new thing.

Being around less people = a better chance that none have the virus.

I know, I know...

I haven't been washing my hands 20-30 times a day either.

I also feel confident that if I did get it, I would beat it with no problem. But, I prefer being on the safer side for now until more is known.

So now it's $4,588 and it's in the UK. And you only have to agree to those pussy strains 0C43 and 229E. Sounds like a fish story.

Maybe even cheaper next month. Delta even removed their fees ($200 each way) for canceling a flight.

It's true, and not only is it true, it is smart, best way to study any virus is in a controlled environment. And as for the "human guinea pigs" they'll be fine.

Note: There are some studies that are way worse then that for the subjects involved, of course they pay more cash.

And Jack....go to Vegas and get those Royal Flushes:0065

I?m exposed to shit all the time (last count 8 active cases of KNOWN flu positives this season alone I was exposed to while not wearing a mask for various reasons), and I?m not scared. I?m more cautious for my family though than I am myself. If u asked 100 people in my field if given a choice to be exposed to corona virus or bedbugs, probably 80% would say corona virus 😂

I?m concerned but not scared. We were planning to go to fremont Street Friday with the family for all the st Patty?s day festivities, but now I?m undecided and it?s only Bc of the corona virus scare.

If enough people are infected and celebrities start dying from it, they will figure out a cure really fast like they did for HIV. U know how HIV/AIDS aren?t even thought of anymore? Bc people don?t die from it unless they are complete morons who don?t take their medication for more than a year.

The hospital has all sorts of rumors but claim there are no cases yet. Flu has been rampant this year though, and I know of patients who have died directly as a result of contracting it. They have the hospital locked down pretty tightly now. I don?t think children are allowed to visit anymore, and there is a visitation time limitation now. All traffic in and out have to go thru checkpoints.

Also, did u know this... all the masks u see people wearing are no good against the corona virus. It spreads droplet AND airborne, so think like tuberculosis. Remember the old tb hospitals all over the country before that could be treated?

The most important thing to do is wash your hands diligently. That?s always the best way to protect against any contagious pathogen or ?germs? in general. Maybe the warm weather will kill this virus?

Major hospital here just cancelled all air travel, foreign and domestic for employees, so you probably made a wise decision...

Let me know the details for the Canada study when you get a chance please. My daughter's boyfriend wants to sign up for the 20 large. We already have our guinea pigs in the US. The citizens of New Rochelle, NY.
