I didn't think i would enjoy this but i actually did. It is a lot more brutal live then on TV. First seven fights go to three round decisions then my buddies kid fights and submits his kid in round two. He probably would have beat him in round one but for some reason the round ended after two minutes (three minute rounds) :facepalm: These are kinda organized like Strikeforce events. He won another belt but they said the belts didn't arrive yet :facepalm: So everyone who won a belt never got one and they didn't even say anything about it. Tony Atlas was there (former WWF star) and was as big as ever. Shoney Carter was there in his lime green suit with his baby pink loafers :mj07: :mj07: They really shouldn't sell alcohol at these events.

I've been to about 15 events now and I enjoy going. The small events have good fights because the guys are trying to get noticed. Unfortunately on the downside things are not always run smoothly, timekeeper issues, bad refs, shady promoters. The Xtreme Vale Todo 5 with Hermes Franca is good example of that
Tony Atlas sucks. The guy witnessed the murder of Bruiser Brody but does not appear at the trial:shrug:

Shonie has lost 8 of his last 9 fights so I would be a little more low key if I were him.
Maybe he needs the attention so that somebody will continue to hire him. He is a glorified punching bag these days.
I forgot that story about Atlas. I would have asked him about it but i didn't want to scuff up Shoney's pink shoes getting to Atlas. Some of these kids had nice hands but no wrestling and then the others good wrestling and no hands. My buddies kid has the whole package and was gonna use his hands last night but the kid he fought didn't seem to want to exchange so he eventually got choked out. He had him in a body triangle while choking him, let the body triangle go and finished him off. On the way home i asked him why he let the body triangle go and he didn't remember even having it on then he said probably to get a better angle on the choke. His mom taped the fight so we watched it on the way home and he saw the triangle lol. That is when we realized the first round was only 2 minutes. Right after the round i told his father "boy that went quick". i figured it was because i just wanted to see his fight. The funny part is when he turns on the switch to fight and when he turns it off. Right before his fight his father and i went in the back to watched him warm up. I don't even know if he knew we were there he was so into a zone. then after the fight it was like a different person. He came out to the crowd thanking people for showing up. Oh and the best part was the scoring. I think i agreed with the judges on every fight and some were very close. Strange when there is no gambling involved how all the judges scores are almost identical :0002
