Auburn is seriously overrated. Number two team in the country. What a joke!!!! They got a lucky win against LSU. BARELY beat South Carolina. Now they're getting pounded by Arkansas and Auburn is at home!!!! ARKANSAS!!!! The team that has the worst turnover margin in the nation. 10 giveaways versus one takeaway. minus 9 turnover ratio. ARKANSAS the team that can't stop the run, unless they're playing Auburn at Auburn. ARKANSAS the team with the freshman quarterback who has more interceptions than touchdown passes and completes only 48.96 percent of his passes. How can anybody say AUBURN isn't overrated?????
:flush: their ridiculous National Title dreams

You're joking.

USC wins with controversy by 6 points to a driving Washington team at home.

Florida routs the number 9 ranked team in the nation at home.

1) Ohio State
2) Florida

There is no argument.

I know you're not trying to use the Team A beats Team B, Team B beats Team C, Team A dominates Team C argument, right? Well then...

Well in that case...LSU SMOKED Arizona, USC struggled against Arizona, therefore LSU could manhandle USC :mj07: :mj07: . Because Florida smoked LSU, I guess that means they would dominate USC :mj07: :mj07:

So. Cal
Anybody watching College Gameday?

Kirk Herbstreet: Florida's schedule should be illegal

Lee Corso: If Florida wins today, they will have beaten Tennessee, Alabama, and LSU within four weeks. Any team that can do that will be number two in my book no matter what anybody thinks, no matter what Auburn, USC, or WVU do today.

Chris Fowler: SEC Football is the hardest conference in the nation, barnone. Nobody plays football like anybody in the South; the South does it the best. If the Gators can win today, I think they're number one! If anybody in the SEC runs the table, they should be assured of a national title game no matter what the rest of the nation looks like.

Don't try to tell me they said that because they're in front of the Swamp; its the TRUTH!:nono:

If these three agree with me, then I...rest...my...case.:mj06: :mj06:

:mj122: :em71:

Oh, and I love it, Cal is the best PAC10 team!!! I love how they slipped the fact that Tennessee DESTROYED Cal.:142smilie

:mj07: :mj07:

Alright i said i wouldnt be back in here, ad i wouldbt have been but im trying to kill an hour in between games tonight. And nothing is happening so i thought i would check this forum.

I just have to know gator (by the way congrats on Fla win today, they are top 3 in my book no doubt) Are you kidding about the ESPN commentators agreeing with you? I sensed sarcasm in it, but its tough to detect over internet.

IF, USC and FL run the table..........

USC will probably be ranked higher than Florida in the computer polls. FL just beat LSU who has played #100 ranked SOS entering Sat. In OOC, USC has wins over Arkansas who is currently tops in SEC, Nebraska, who is currently tops in Big 12, and ND who will likely be a BCS team.

Pac 10 is already regarded a top conf. in the computer polls top to bottom and USC already has a tougher SOS than every SEC team AND USC closes their season against their toughest opponents.

If ARKY and NEB and ND continue to win, USC EASILY wins the computer polls.

Oh yeah, USC is ranked #2 in both BCS polls (and likely #2 in AP as well) and FL will not jump USC in the polls.

FL will not jump USC by beating ARKANSAS ST. :142smilie at the end of the year! Florida closes season against Florida St. while USC closes the season against BCS bound ND and bowl bound UCLA!!!!!!!

Arkansas St. and Florida St.?
Notre Dame and UCLA?

Florida is NOT jumping USC. :nono:

What I'm reading here is so funny!

You're relying on two polls that are primarily based out in California. Florida is only 49 votes out of 2nd place (oh, and happened to get a first place vote). USC wins with controversy at home against a battered Washington team because of time mismanagment by the USC-favoring refs? USC is gross, and that game proved it.

We lead USC by 65 votes in the AP poll. Hmmm, why such disparity between the two polls? California bias much? Next week we go into Auburn (ranked number 10 in your polls) and you host Arizona State (man they're gonna be tough at 3-2 on the year). Since we only have a 49 vote disparity between 2 and 3 in the USA Today poll, if we come out of Auburn with a convincing win...we will jump USC and be the uncontested #2 team in the nation.

We dont even play Arkansas State, genius. Its not that hard to look at a schedule, is it? We finish playing FSU @FSU (oooo USC plays ND and UCLA in LA, man nice way to finish a rough schedule :142smilie . ND couldn't even blow out Stanford, an 0-6 team :142smilie ). Oh, not to mention, if we ran the table we'd also be playing a conference championship...but I understand how you could forget that considering your conference doesnt like that concept.

If you really think Florida would remain #3 after running the table, and finishing by beating a ranked FSU team in their house (they'll climb back in) and then beating at least a top 15 (possibly even top 10) team in the conference championship, meanwhile USC hosts a wishy-washy ND and horrible UCLA...you're day-dreaming.

If you watched the Tennessee/Georgia game at all, you'd realize what the Gators picked apart and came out with a win from one of the loudest venues on Earth (Rocky Top). I'm curious how well Cal would do there...oh wait!. Tennessee marched into Georgia and completely dismantled that team, at Rocky Top it wouldn't have even been funny.

Cal knocks off the overrated Oregon Ducks (who wouldnt have called that) and exposed them for what they are. After USC beats them, Oregon will be unranked (as they should be right now with that highly controversial win against Oklahoma).

I hope they keep underrating the Gators. Hell, I wish the Gators could go against USC in the National Title game and expose the Trojans for the garbage team that they are. Once one of those Pansy-10 receivers took a hit from our linebackers they'd be wearing brown pants for the rest of the game.

Haha LSU sucks? Funny how just about every capper here played LSU to be the pick of the century and Florida dominated them. So its not that Florida is good, its that LSU is just overrated. Makes complete sense :mj07:

LSU is one of only two teams with two losses still ranked in the USA Today poll, and the AP poll. The other is Oklahoma...and we all know they should only have one loss.

I love that the offensive PAC10 teams barely squeeze by unranked opponents, and its "a great effort by an under-rated team," yet when two defensive SEC teams go up against each other in an epic struggle and one comes out on top, the story is "wow those two teams are so horrible, that really exposed what they are."

You all crack me up.

Florida will not jump USC. USC has much more impressive resume. USC closes their season against Oregon, CAL, ND and UCLA. BRUTAL! Nobody is jumping USC if USC runs the table. Especially since USC destroyed Arkansas @ARKY (tops in SEC), and dominated Nebraska @home (tops in Big 12). USC already has 3 road wins and Florida only has 1 road win. USC currently has a stronger strength of schedule than FL and USC has not played their toughest opponents yet.

AP poll is not factored in the BCS formula. Unfortunately for Florida, they are behind USC in both BCS polls. It will stay that way until USC loses.

Why is LSU good? They have played a horrible strength of schedule, and have won ZERO road games. In the SEC, you are a great team if you blowout the following teams @home. Louisiana-Lafayette, Arizona, Tulane, and Miss. St. Those are the LSU wins for the year.

Can I play in the SEC? :mj10:

Sorry, Florida doesn't play Arkansas St. My bad. They play WESTERN KENTUCKY! :142smilie All these directional schools the SEC play have me confused.

I am sure closing your season with home games against Western Kentucky and Florida St. is more impressive than BCS Bowl bound ND and @ bowl bound UCLA.

Only an SEC fan would be impressed with a 50pt victory against Western Kentucky.

So its your opinion that because USC beat Arkansas, they deserve it? Well, lets again use PAC10 logic. Tennessee destoryed Cal. Florida took Tennessee @ home. Sounds like Florida would easily roll Cal

Same old tired arguments. The way USC is playing, they will not run the table.

I love how you continue to ignore the fact that we travel to FSU and play a conference championship on neutral ground. We might even play Arkansas in that game, and that would give us just as much strength as USC will receive from it.

Funny how you criticize LSU for playing Arizona, yet you will claim that as a "quality win" for USC.

PAC10 is a joke.

There is a reason that USC keeps losing votes in the USA Today and AP polls. Look at the trend...
AP:
1345-1410-1446-1494-1491-1470-1451

USA Today:
1348-1436-1471-1493-1489-1475-1461

Now examine Florida
AP:
1178-1191-1249-1350-1363-1393-1516

USA Today:
1202-1112-1177-1282-1294-1309-1412

Since week 4, USC has been consistently losing votes. Your "machine" seems to be stalling :mj07:

Look at the disparity between the USA and AP polls. We lead USC by 56 votes in one poll, yet trail by 49 in another? Such California bias! You barely eek out a win against a pathetic Washington in your house, and you only lose a few votes!

Your arguments are garbage, and you're clearly back-peddling on your stance because you know USC is going to lose before the year is out. I heard you disappear when things dont go your way. You're trembling against Cal, the team that was demolished by Tennessee. You call Georgia garbage and overrated because they lost to Tennesse, a heated rivalry you could never understand, but you applaud Cal for "stepping out" and playing Tennessee...

*The AP poll has NOTHING to do with the BCS.

So its your opinion that because USC beat Arkansas, they deserve it?

NO!

USC deserves #2 because..........

WIN @Arkansas
WIN vs Nebraska
WIN @Arizona
WIN @Washington St.
WIN vs Washington

#2 ranked Strength of Schedule

3 road wins and started season playind 3 of first 4 games on the road, first 5 games against BCS schools.

Dominated one of the top teams in the SEC 50-14 on the road travelling across the country to open the season.

Dominated one of the top teams in the Big 12.

Suffered big time injuries early in season and soon will be getting healthy!

USC keeps on winning, winners of 50 of their last 52 games! :scared

CASE CLOSED!

Arkansas could be the only good team you've played so far.

Nebraska is gross; Arkansas jumped them to be ranked #17. Clearly Nebraska is over-rated.

Arizona is 2-4. Lol!

Washington State was another come-from-behind win for USC. They barely eeked it out, while Auburn rollllllled them.

Washington has a * next to it, because there were 5 extra men on the field for USC, and one up in the timekeepers box.

So maybe I'll give you two games.

Florida?

WIN v. Southern Miss (3-2)
WIN v. UCF (2-3)
WIN @ #8 Tennessee (ask Cal how hard that is) (5-1)
WIN v. Kentucky (3-3)
WIN v. Alabama (4-2)
WIN v. #14 LSU (4-2)

Only one team on our schedule has a losing record. ALL CONVINCING WINS.

We have one more win than your team, and we've had convincing wins against Bama, LSU, and Tennessee. There was no controversy, there was no team melt-down, nothing; we deserved to win those games and prevailed.

USC, on the other hand, has had to come back in games late in the fourth quarter, and needed the refs help as well.

Just to be clear, you are 100% wrong. SC has trailed once all season. It was 3-0 Nebraska early in the first quarter. That is it.

WSU & Washington both had chances to take the lead late in the games, but were unsuccessful.

Haha oh really? Looks like they trailed 0-3 against Washington State as well! 100% right fool!

As for Scott...you're so right...kind of. You failed to mention that the two teams Florida beat were top 10 at the time, one being top 10 now. You crack me up.

If you want to get into stats...lets check out Florida and USC's average margin of victory.

Florida: 19.5 :nono:
USC: 16.6

USC HUGE POWER HOUSE! :142smilie Barely eeking it out against Washington and Washington State! Tough teams!

Hey here's your common phrase...CASE CLOSED.

I stand corrected. Do you admit that you were wrong with this statement: "USC, on the other hand, has had to come back from games late in the fourth quarter"?

And for the record, it is beyond silly even worrying about this stuff in October. FL & SC need to win out to even worry about who gets to the mythical championship game. Survival is all that matters.

GL to FL the rest of the way!
