Taking a major stand on South Korea.
Plays:
10.5/10 SoKorea(+0.5) -105
3/5.1 So Korea to Advance(+170)
1.5/4.5 SoKorea(-0.5) +300
2.22/2.0 SoKorea: 1st corner(-111)
Briefly, here's my angle. The two factors which have proven to be major factors in World Cup knockout play are 1) tradition and 2) home edge. That said, as bad as Italy looked at times, I feel that was the bigger obstacle for Korea. Spain does not have a great history of going deep in the World Cup. They want to win, but they don't feel like they were born to win, like the Brazilians, Italians, etc.
The Korean home crowd may be among the strongest home field edges I've seen in any sport. Just maniacal adulation for their troops, rooting them on. Add in the amazing condition which the Koreans have displayed, and a better Goals Against Average in the tournament so far. I'm letting it fly.
I've been wrong before, so we'll see. GL whichever way you go.
