Line has me baffled because I had it at So Miss -5 or -6. So Miss is 24-6 and in 1st place in the Sun Conf. So miss had a chance to win the conf but lost to ODU the other night. But despite that they are the best team in the Sun. They have failed the last 2 games to clinch the title and No 1 seed but tonight in San Marcus think they win by double digits . They will be focused tonight to cut down the nets . Meanwhile Tex St is 4-9 at home and 1-9 ats at home. So Miss has 6'5 gd Crowley transfer from Miss who is top scorer and one of the best gds in the conf He is 6'5 and another transfer 6'9 260 pound Haase who should make 1st team all conf. They have a playmaker in Alvarez who runs the floor. Ladner the coach was on his way out after last seasons 1-17 conf USA record and overall 7-26 record So what does So Miss do They leave Conf USA and join the Sun And tonight they could and should win the conf league title. The transfer portal and Ladner hiring an asst coach who brought 2 starters with him and turned this program around. From an off. stand point Tex has no one to stop Haase in the post He has a nice sweet lefty soft touch and will score. Crowley, Pickney and and Harris will be tough to stop. And Southern plays outstanding defense . Tex St has 5'8 Harrell as there only double digit scorer and in the Suns last 3 games other coaches are putting their best defender on him .Harrell avg went from 16 pts a game to 12. So Miss won by 9 points at home vs Tex awhile back 67-58. Bobcats offense ranks in the 300's in scoring,3 pt FG% and a few more .Meanwhile So Miss ranks in the top 50's in some defensive categories . Tex St has no front court that can score They have no one that can create offense except Harrell . They do play solid defense but that doesn't put points on the bds unless you are creating turnovers . Alvarez is a solid pt gd and with Crowley who can score and Haase posted up Bobcats are in trouble in their season final game. Correction. So Miss is tied with marshall for 1st place but own the tiebreaker since they beat them head to head.

The other night at the So Bama game I had to park a little further out. At halftime of the game they had two games with kids playing from the local Y's . There were 40 kids out there. When the halftime was over all the parents and kids went home. It left the gym half empty . But did win a free " what a Burger " coupon when the announced my row won. I was the only one in the row. When the girl came in the aisle to give me my coupon I asked" Can I use this in Austin? She said no only at a What a burger in San marcus. So I gave my coupon away to a family sitting behind me. I asked my wife would you like to come to tonights game and see where I have been going the past 3-4 years. She said NO.. So I'm off to my last home game of the year. Think this is my 3rd or 4th year coming to see Tx St . Still don't know the Fight song and when Tex St shoots FT's everyone in the crowd points their hands up like a gun and aims it.
