..........Seems indecisive, poor throwing decisions, ponderous when he runs, no patience in the pocket.

63 yards in almost a half of football.

But I'm sure he is really good.

Terrible! Looks at first option, then tucks it and runs to the sideline!

he is the QB of a 10-4 team who plays in the toughest division in football possibly in the past 20 years....San fran and seattle could've played with anyteam in the past 20 years.....Arizona is damn good....and even st Louis can beat anyone when playing well....

he is struggling tonite early....ive seen peyton manning struggle mightily some games....doesn't mean he is no good....

fans are often times like the media (myself included)........we crown guys after one good week, and destroy them after one bad week (or in this case in bad half of football).......

this kid is in his FIRST year as a starter full-time.....shredded up Aaron Rodgers....TWICE....beat the best team in the NFC seattle 2 years straight.....yes at home, but is capable of beating the best apparently....and oh yes, he took his team to the SUPERBOWL last year.....I suppose alex smith or even peyton manning would've led that niners team back from 24-3 down on the road to the #1 seed Atlanta Falcons????????

I am not trying to get in an argument.....you asked for someone to tell you how good he is....I think he is more then capable of being a good QB

infact, so does harbaugh and the San fran organization....I guess they are the dummies tho all he did was take them to the superbowl and in his first year as the no doubt starter he has them at 10-4 and all but locked in a playoff spot....

people forget this guy has played a total of like 18 games as a starting QB....he will learn and become better each week...at least IMO

as a dolphins fan, id take him over tannenhill in Miami anyday....id take him over a lot of QBs actually....

and also, he can run like a deer....that helps...

I'm sure you are right.

In a game they need to make the playoffs, at home against a team with nothing to play for Colin has 69 yards and could have been picked twice.

Still, I'm sure you are right.

I can literally list probably 50 games where QBS are in must win games, and have played poorly, for 2 quarters.....

peyton
brady
ben
Montana
aikman

all of them have played poorly in stretches of must win games...

and kap is in his first year as a starter

10-4 in NFC WEST

1 SUPERBOWL appearance

Beat up on Aaron Rodgers twice in first 10 games as a starter

has a total record of like 17-6 as a starter

set all kind of playoff records in his first game VS greenbay

but he sucks

im sure you are right

he just has gotten extremely lucky for 20 straight games and tonite is really who he is

Shredded up Aaron Rodgers?? Hmm i did not know Rodgers played defense and please don't put Kaepersuck in the same category as Rodgers..Not even close.

sorry but Kaepersuck has a real good o-line, Running game and Defense....Please don't say they are winning all these games cus of him cus they're not...Kaepersuck is average at best who just happens to be on a good solid team..If he played on washing you would not who knew he even was

you are correct he doesn't play D....didn't mean to upset you packer fans

never once did I put him in the same category....nor would I.....totally different QBS....

I think Rodgers is handsdown a better qB as far as pure talent as a passer....but im not talking about that....im talking about Kap being a successful QB....which he has been and then some so far in his first 1.5 years as a starter....

and yes he shredded the packers...and beat them twice...not Rodgers....apologize

that's fine dude I am all abuot people having different opinions....you guys wouldn't take em

I would.

difference between people: some can have a discussion and have different opinions without having their butt get hurt.

not sayin you are one of them, I just hope this thread doesn't go there and can just be a discussion....

hell there were lot of teams that didn't want tom brady early in his career so I cant blame anyone for not wanting kapernick at this point....ill take em..

and to your point of Kap having a "really good team around him"

so did Marino/peyton/jim Kelly/aikmen/brady/Rodgers/ben/Montana

every QB who has won a SP or conference title had a good team around him....peyton gets sacked less then anyone everyeyar....it isn't because he is a good blocker

Gruden just said, "I don't know what Kaepernick is doing back there! He needs to read through his progressions. He's too quick to try and run out of there."

I remember last year, when kapernick led the niners on MNF and absolutely destroyed the Chicago bears...in his first start as a QB....Gruden literally blew him that night.

it is just my opinion, but like said above, we are just like the media, myself included...when a guy is good, we love em....when he has a bad half....we don't...

although he has his team in the lead on MNF vs the defending #1 seed of the NFC, with a 10-4 record, and about to lock up a playoff spot....if this is him when he is a bad QB....id love to see em when he gets good

Manning and Marino quick release , that is why they dont get sacked. Apples and oranges with someone like Kap. i like Newton better but Kap is in top half of NFL.

exactly

if we are having a throwing contest, give me any of them

but a must win game in cold bad weather and not so much...

I think kap is a good passer however, and is in his first year as starter....he will only get better....

he may suck come next year I have no clue I just see him being succesful

top half for sure

if The niners win next week they could potentially be the #1 seed in a NFC conference that is absolutely loaded....I mean the Saints with 10 Wins could miss out with how good the NFC is....

I realize he has a great team around him, but so does russ Wilson and drew brees and cam newton......

I do agree with the others when talking about his pure pocket passing ability....yea he needs to improve....he has other intangibles which to me are as important in the NFL as anything

I find it comical people still question Kapernicks ability. The guy has a cannon but he doesn't have the receivers to compliment what he does. Because of it Harbaugh tends to pull the reigns on him more than most coaches. They want to be a defense first , run team second and pass if you have to type of team but a lot of times that backfires and puts KAP in a very difficult position but he's been doing alright and will only get better.

I'm not a 49er fan but I do appreciate what he has done in his short time up and recognize that with experience and coach not holding him back he will only get better.. What Harbaugh is doing with him is not a bad thing but he puts him in a difficult situation where he asks him to be the man when the defense and running game is not working for them.
