Notice I said when...not If...

When BYU And Colorado move To the Pac 10 to give them 12 Teams And A Conference Champioship(+20 Million $$$)

Then Arkansas bolts to The Big 12 to fill Col's void...

Who does the SEC take and why?

Shoot, this one's easy..

Shoot, this one's easy..

It's gotta be Western Carolina.

Why, you ask?

That way, Florida will be able to label their games against Western Carolina as "Conference" games..

Which, of course, gives them the ability to schedule ANOTHER cupcake directional school for their "only play in Florida" out of conference schedule........

Interesting... Not sure Colorado would be the choice for the Pac 10 because of the distance? I think Utah may make more sense........but anyway....given your scenario, I would probably say Southern Miss.

Makes sense logistically, and with natural rivalries in Ole Miss, MSU, and LSU on the coast...

Just my 2 cents anyway...

from what i understand:

arkansas would bolt to the big 12 in a new york minute. they have been waiting to do so...their biggest alumni base is in dallas and they want back in with texas, sooner, etc...

memphis---would be a decent choice, OM and TN would fight tooth and nail against memphis but schools like UF and Bama would love to see their most hated rivals squirm.

louisville---sorry cardinals you rolled the dice when you left for the big east not thinking they would ever get the shot of going to the SEC. seems it might have happened after all.

so miss---just cant see it happening

darkhorse:

central Fla---from what i understand it's between mem and c fla. UF would fight hard for this not to happen. But 50, 000 students and an up and coming program in both football and basketball, it wouldnt be that far-fetched

personally i would like to see ga tech, but i dont think that's likely either

I agree with WarEagle (who knew  ) regarding Memphis. UcheaT and Ole Miss would fight that until the bitter end. I don't know the numbers, but I believe that Shelby County is the largest alumni base for UcheaT outside of obKnox county.

For history's sake, I think it would be great to get Georgia Tech back in, but how would UGA feel about that?

Again I agree regarding Louisville... they jumped to the Big East and don't think the SEC would touch them now.

Florida State would also be a good choice, but then you have to worry about the Reptiles.

I actually would like to see Southern Miss in the conference, but just don't see that happening. I think their football stadium is just a bit larger than Vandy's. So facility wise...

If PAC 10 adds schools, they SHOULD be Fresno St, SD St before Colorado.

Zero chance. Big 12 doesnt want arkansas. Long ago Pac 10 wanted Texas and Colorado...texas cant do anything wihtout AM though.

Much more probable if the Pac 10 expanded, which I doubt, Missouri leaves for Big 10 and Big 12keeps 10.
