Prior to the Guns N Roses concert in Pittsburgh yesterday I got the chance to meet some really cool fans from all over the place. One was from New Castle England and a pretty big soccer fan. We got to talking about it as I'm learning more and more to enjoy watching the game and I never really have.
Of course it came up that it's not called soccer in the rest of the world, it's football. He was quick to tell me "it's football because you play it with your foot, not that egg-chucking game you guys play that is really just rugby for pussies. You wear helmets and pads like the ladies do where I'm from."
Ouch.
I mean, he's got a point, but.....hurtful.
