Starting off with some Italian League Cup games - hate betting on these cup games, but taking the following:

Sampordia -1
50 to win 45
Samp is at home and should take care of a bad Chievo team that is more concerned with serviving in Serie A than winning the up. They got alot of players out for this game and are concentrating on the weekend's Serie A game vs Catania.

Roma -1.5
50 to win 38
Already beat Parma 4-0 away at Parma. Parma is awful, Roma usually takes these Cups pretty serious and should pound them at home if they are not out of form after the lay off.

87th minute back door cover by Parma left me even for the day.

A couple Cup games today. Hate laying 2 goals, but Milan's got a strong squad for this game - only Kaka resting. Arrezo is sitting in last in Serie B. With the Scudetto out of reach, Milan should be taking the Cup more serious than usual and finish them off in the first leg so they can concentrate on some big games coming up in Serie A and CL.

As for the 2nd game, I liked it originally, but after reading Sardius' take, I like it even more.

Lyon doesnt have much competition in the league, but Toulouse has been a sore spot. They drew earlier at Lyon and last year at Lyon as well. Lyon is taking the game seriously - last 2 practices have been closed to the public. The only thing that can stop Lyon in this league is lack of interest on their part. Toulouse has gotten their interest and should pay the price. That, and Toulouse went into the break on a major slide after a strong start.
