Good calls on the Mexico game. I hit the draw pretty hard. They played hard but they got lucky in this one. Doesn't really matter as I am not sure there was one player on the field that will be there in the WC. A few will help with some qualifying and there is some potential also, but they had no play maker and do not get me started on Zardes. Nice for them to win and at least the last game was entertaining.
I actually made a small bet on Canada this morning. You were right about them and this US team did not play well the whole tournament. Never like to see our country lose, but not that sad about this one. This team needed a slap in the face. Womens teams in a few sports need to stop rewarding veterans and put the best players on the team and on the field. The rest of the world is catching up so they have to start doing this. Softball was another great example. They were rewarding USA team veterans given the absence in the Olympics for 13 years and they paid for it.
Gold Cup only has me looking forward to Europe even more.
