Columbian League
A battle of two unbeaten teams atop of the standings finishes off the Saturday night card. The Millonarios proved strong against Equidad on Saturday getting a goal in the 60th minute which was enough for the three points. I still feel like we haven't seen all we can from this team yet. As I mentioned earlier, Once Caldas is ahead of everyone else right now, but the Millos are close, very close. Now that they are out of Copa Postobon, they have a couple weeks to gel together before entering Copa Sudamericana play. Andy Polo will be making his second start ahead of the MIllos offense with Omar Vazquez and Fernando Uribe out due to injury. The main reason behind Chicos early success has been Eder Chaux in net. The goalie has tallied a rating of 16/20 which is higher than anyone in the league who has played two games. He has kept back to back clean sheets and a total of 12 saves in those two games, one save shy of tops in the league. If there is one thing Chaux has not seen yet, it is a team with the precision passing on attack like the Millos have. This team has completed more than 74% of their passes in the attacking end and go at teams straight up the middle. Chaux and the Chico defense has been great in two games defending the cross, that isn't what the Millos do. I think the combination of playing in El Campin and having to deal with in your face speed up the middle will be too much for the team from Boyaca to handle. I believe Andy Polo gets his first goal in Colombia and the MIllos start the year off with three straight victories and 9 points from 9 possible. I give the Millos a 70% chance to win this game, putting the true odds at 1.43 higher than the current price of 1.53.
