A striker that's in form is something that the US has been without since. . . . . , I dunno, '98 maybe. Having more attention devoted to a striker really opens up the US's attacking options in the midfield which is, by far, their deepest position. Honduras is a team that's tough to break down, but lacks quality and will be without 4 (and possibly 6) of their starters. With qualification so close, I can't see the US not utilizing this opportunity against an undermanned Honduras.

Damn, I didn't even know who that was until you said world class striker. I'm actually looking forward to the next womens world cup so I can watch her play. Her ball skills are something that the older US women have lacked.

2015 in Canada. Wonder how its going to turn out? She's playing domestically for portland right now and she's still fantastic. Tough to find on tv, though.
