I keep running running records of all teams for 5 inning betting. Don't think you can look this up anywhere on the net. It varies on how valuable they are, especially when you get in a streak when you always break the trend when you jump in! Lately I have found a groove with them so all is well. Just going to list some of the things that have been going on this year. Listing them as win-Loss-Tie. If I don't include the tie doesn't mean there were none, just that I don't feel like adding them up on the team stat! H=home V=visitor R=right L=left These include games thru saturday Aug 29 only:

Quintana 0-9-3 H
Danks 0-10-1 V
Kuechel 12-0-2 H
McCullers 0-6-1 R
Eovaldi 16-5-4 overall
Wandy Rodriguez 1-5-1 H and 7-0-1 V
Hutchinson 12-0-2 H
Buerhle 9-1-1 H
Ray 1-6 H
Teheran 7-1-5 H
Arrieta 9-3-2 V and 4-6-2 H
Kershaw only 10-9-7 overall
Harvey 9-1-3 H
Harang 3-14-6 overall
Garcia 8-1-3 overall
Wacha 18-2-5 overall
Chen 4-10-1 H
White Sox 18-30 H
Angels 32-50 R
Texas 42-25 R
Toronto 72-41 overall
Phil 31-62 overall

Wacha was 10-0-3 overall when he lost his first to Phil who at the time going into that game was 10-45 (think I had St.L) Garcia in 13 starts only gave up more than 1 earned run once. Ventura has 4 straight shutouts going now. Cincy was shut out 6 straight till they hit the bum Garza, when they scored 8. Just another anecdote on how Melvin to this day can't recognize a pitcher. he is finally gone

somewhere over the rainbow
Hope you don't mind me adding a couple other interesting 1st 5 facts...

Best road team is Texas at 35-24-6, surprisingly Cleveland is 32-24-10 on road
Worst road team is Philly at 12-39-15
Best home team is St Louis at 40-11-14, BlueJays are 45-14-7
Worst home team is Chicago W Sox 19-33-16

Good teams with bad 1st 5 road records
Houston 18-35-12
LA Angels 18-37-9
NY Mets 21-26-17

Good teams with bad 1st 5 home records
NY Yankees 27-27-9 (Not too bad but slightly better on road)

My cousin and I used to keep a very detailed spreadsheet of this with every team, road and home and every pitcher road and home and used a few other different filters to predict plays. It was one of the more effective systems/predictor models I have ever seen but it is very time consuming and very detail oriented.

Thanks Mover. The plays that I have been making have been doing well, but I posted this to make people aware of how there are some good betting angles on these but like anything you have to work at it, and use some personal judgement on what exactly you are going to play. There are a lot more stats that vary greatly from the whole game stats, I just did not want to do a 4 hour post. Personally the one I have played the most and caught the right ones is playing the Twins against lefties.

Hey Student! I really appreciate this info......I have referred to all week as I do my handicapping; which isn't much:142smilie. Anyways, if you are updating this and or have additional info, please don't hesitate to post it. I wouldn't mind the 4 hour post neither. Ha! Furthermore, if you want to PM me, I'll give you my email and you can send it? Just a kudos to you and I really appreciate the time you put into this. F5 innings have great value and you really opened my eyes to sone quality info.....Thanks Again! :0008

Thanks guys,I have found for myself that posting picks does not work well for me. The handicapping alone is so time consuming, and I like to play multiple sports, so with baseball, golf, wnba and now all the football I don't need another obligation. Then when I post it gets tough because I want to show my reasons, and that influences what I show. What I will try to do is post some good 5 inning stat angles that come up. I will keep it in this thread. Good luck on all your plays.

Friday Sept 4. Here are some interesting 5 inning stats for today. Let me emphasize that these not necessarily my plays, but things that are far from the norm or things that you would not expect. You have to decide whether you want to use them or not. If I post more things as days go on, it is under this same guideline. Another thing is if I refer to ERA I am talking about per 5 innings, for example if I say Garza's last 3 era have been 10, 7 1/2 and 5, that means he has given up the equivalent of 10 earned runs runs in the first 5 innings, etc.

deGrom is only 4-5-3 on the road
Garza last 3 games era 10, 7 1/2 and 5, Sampson last 3 is 7,6, and 6. (maybe a 1st half over?)
Happ last 4 era 0,0,0,1
Hutchinson at home 12-0-2
Danks on the road 0-10-1
Kelley last 4 era 0.1.0.1 Philly on the road 13-41

Hi guys sorry I did not keep up day to day but I know from past experience I just don't have the energy to keep up the daily posts. Also I just wanted to mention for me personally I start to not play as closely to the stats anymore. Once it gets late in the year and you have the expanded rosters, teams giving their pitchers extra rest for the playoffs, etc., things start to change. I think the optimum time for following the 5 inning stats is from about mid June till the end of August, although different years will bring different variations. I missed a lot of plays this year by not paying enough attention in June and July. Its amazing how I can do the stats every day but sometimes still not see the results clearly to capitalize. On the other hand I am getting old and can't make my last good years I have left playing 5 inning baseball as my first priority. Good luck

just a heads up on one of the things that I definitely continue to play is Minnesota vs. lefties. Tonight is another chance . Twins are now 29-11 and going against Norris who has had 3 mediocre to poor performances in a row. Twins last 2 vs left they have scored 6 and 7 in the first 5
