Trying to learn as I go and wondering about a couple of things:
Do any of you consider certain books as having consistently sharper lines than others? If you do, then do you ever use their lines as a basis for making a bet in another book?
Let's say you bet a matchup for the whole tournament and played player A over player B. In the first round player B beats A by 5 strokes. Generally speaking if you were going to bet this match for the 2nd round (and was not influenced by the bet you have already made), would you favor backing A because of your original reasons or B because of what has happened in the 1st round?
I know the matchups change according to the scores but I do play some at 5 dimes and have seen them sometimes offer the same matchups day after day regardless of the scores. Really asking this not to actually play these matchups, but more as a general line of thinking. Taking it a step furthur, player A and B are both having good weeks and are tied for the lead after 3 rounds. In round 3 player A shoots 64 and B shoots 70 and generally speaking you consider both players about equal. Who would you go with in round 4 ?
I realize that the most important factor in choosing a side has to do with your opinion of the indivual players involved, but am just throwing out some questions here to gain a little insight. Thanks for any responses.
