Reading all of your posts, has me thinking the Dallas is a sweet deal!
I must admit, for a game that I said had no zeal, you guys make a sound case.
Then I dug a little and came up with some simple stats:
Washington
Offense/Defense
Rush yards per game Passing yards per game
44/133--------------117/122
71/160---------------66/266
111/200-------------107/346
57/142--------------124/167
-----------------------------------------
Dallas
96/71-----------------31/191
101/130--------------188/350
181/131---------------61/145
108/101--------------123/207
This tells me a lot. Both teams give up a shitload of yards to their opponants passing offense. But, neither team can pass worth a damn. I actually have to give Washington the edge based on stats, but it probably is closer to even when you factor who each team has played.
Dallas gets the nod from me on rushing. A big nod!
I see Dallas running the ball all night, keeping a hapless defense on the sidelines as long as they can. Plus, that also keeps the Skins offense on the side lines.
I don't see the higher scoring game that most of you envision. The passing game seems to be hit and miss to me, and if anyone "hits" tonight, it should be Washington.
I still see no value in a side or a total in this game.
I do see a little value in some props:
Dallas, most rushing yards -120
E Smith over 86' -110
Emmitt will get the ball over, and over. In a guy at the end of his carreer, the Cowboys will get him the ball tonight. One last shot at showcasing this guy on national television. Against the Skins, I expect on of his patented 50 yard+ runs. (Of course, I will be chewing my nails on all of his 1 yard runs!)
R Gardner over 3 receptions +100
This could land right on, but against this defense, I think he gets 4
Dallas rushing yards for 4 units, the other two for 2 each
Good luck!
