why the top teams go to half w/large lead, not blow out then taker the 2nd half off. Gtown, Bama couple of examples tonight, turn it over dribble off the foot, can't inbound, What the fuk are they doing they are playing stiffs and the starters on the other team couldn't even make the jv team on ala, Gtown:eek:

sorry, got a little out of control . Tough couple of weeks, drives me nuts up 17 at half and they get outscored at home in the 2nd half by MTenn???? Supposed to be a top 10 team and that is the best effort they can put forth???

Large chalk vs first half lines

Large chalk vs first half lines

RAZ,

I have been in your shoes before. I tracked most of the 2000-2001 NCAA season and this is what I found.

I looked at lines of 15 points or more. In 142 games with a large amount of chalk, favorites and dogs finished even at 71-71. BUT large favorites on the first half line were 83-54 with 5 pushes for a 60.58%. Now, a majority of the games that covered the first half also covered the game line, but 22 favorites covered the first half line but lost the game line vs 9 favorites that did not cover the first half line but came back to cover the game spread.

I have found that if I like a large favorite, play them on the first half line. If I like the dog, play them on the game line.

Track it for a while this season and I think you will find the same results.

Also, amazing that the big chalk split at exactly 50-50. The Man doesn't eff around, does he.
