Looks way too easy. Why is Seattle favored by that much? They beat Carolina 13-9 in week 8 and also won 12-7 in week 1 last season. Carolina plays them tough. Seattle also hasn't played in a couple of weeks while Carolina has been on a 5 week hot streak. So is this the play of the year or what?

you could be right...and it seems like Carolina turned the corner late in what was seeming like a fairly pathetic season...

playing devil`s advocate, what would concern me was their penchant(before their late season run) for getting blown out in games that they fell behind in....I watched newton when they played Baltimore and also saw several other Carolina games and it seemed when they lost, they went big(6 out of 8 losses by 18 points or more).....seemed to me like in certain situations, once things went south, newton looked like he was going through the motions(I could be wrong,it`s just a personal observation)...

of course, the late season run(although accomplished against fairly pedestrian competition) seems to have bolstered their confidence and as we know, teams can get hot at playoff time and do amazing things......also,they weren`t just a successful home team.. they had some decent performances on the road...

i can see why you might want to grab those points...looking at seattle`s schedule, they had more than a few wins in that 10-14(give or take a few points) point range so it could be a bit tight coming down the stretch....late in the season, seems more of seattle`s comfy wins were due to holding the other team`s offense in check than them scoring oodles of points...

i have a hard time getting a read on newton...he can be really good or at times, just mail it in..of late, seems he`s been more good than bad...

g.l. with it.....

I'm not a big Seahawks fan by any means. But they finished the season off pretty strong themselves. They can be so physical at times and the week off should make them even stronger. We all know how tough it is to play at their home and let alone in the postseason with all that big game experience.

I think the line is screaming for dog action. If you tease Carolina you can get 2 + TD's and a field goal. How can that lose? I'm sorry, my action will be on Seattle and it will not change the line or anything. But this game has blowout written all over it in my mind.

Seattle- 34- Carolina-13

Good luck however you fellas roll.

I think they can win.

z...you have an opinion(based on what you`re reading and hearing locally) on Rodgers`leg?.......I`m guessing it`s going to be brutally cold up there and that`s not an ideal situation for that kind of injury......

seems like a surprising number of people think the packers might get rolled(I`m not one of em,unless Rodgers folds)...

Good point about Carolina/Newton looking like they give up once they start falling behind. I also realized that the last 2 times these teams played each other were at Carolina. This play looking more like a regular play rather than a huge play. It looks like Vegas screwed up again by being too generous with the points for the underdogs this week, though. Wouldn't be surprised if all 4 dogs cover with at least 2 dogs winning outright. Of course, I could be way off.

Actually the last three years we have played them in our house. I am a PSL owner and go to every game. Weasel is right about Newton as he can really lay an egg when he feels he is the man and has to do it all himself. We match up very well vs. Seattle though and always play them well. Similar style teams with running qb's. We have lost to them three years in row now and we had them beat all three years until the 4th qtr. 2012 we lost 16-12 giving the game away in 4gt qtr. 2013 we lost 12-7 giving it away in 4th qtr again. 2014 we lost 13-9 after being up 6-3 at half and tied 6-6 going into fourth quarter then we took 9-6 lead only to give up a game winning TD w/ 0:47 left in game.
I would not listen to me cause I am a homer and I absolutely can't stand Seattle for reasons listed above. That being said, we owe them in their house big time! We have had the lead at halftime all three years and we are catching 7 in 1st half there? Not sure I am going to take 1st half bet cause this could be a reverse of what happened to us these past three years and maybe we come from behind to win in the 4th quarter? I already jumped on it early when it came out at -10 1/2 as I hope our players are as passionate about kicking their ass as I am!!! I just feel defenses will wreak havoc and we have done well down the stretch cause Cam has handed the ball off a lot more since we finally have had at least one healthy running back and as of late 3 healthy ones :00hour Fozzy has been a great surprise and DW looks to finally be healthy and Stew has been hot as of late! I am not just looking for a cover here but I expect them to win this one. Godspeed my friends and GO PANTHERS!!!!! :toast:

Think the loss of Star Lotulelei will hurt them?

Much respect as you are a capper I check against ldabdou! :0008

Unfortunately..... yes! That is my biggest concern of the injury losses we incurred. Colin Cole is more than capable of moving into that spot and filling holes at 330 lbs. I still think everyone will step up and take care of business on that D line. Kyle Love is going to be the wildcard but he played for Pats in past so he has experience in playoff and Superbowl games. As long as we run the ball effectively and hopefully score a freaking TD against the hags and not settling for freaking fg's all game, we should be in it at the end. The run game can hopefully open up for at least one big pass play for a TD cause we have not had one of those vs the hags either (big play for td). I hope Philly Brown will be healthy and not hampered too as he is the other that was injured.
We have knocked off two of the three little birds so hopefully it will be three birdies in a row! Falcons, Cardinals & now the Seahags! GO PANTHERS!!! :00hour
I am vested in this team w/o betting on them and I am picky when I do. This just happens to be one of those spots I am choosing to bet on us. Still debating on 1st half bet. I bet us in first half more than I did the game this year and have done well but I don't bet us all that often so take it for what its worth :0008
GL to all once again
Peace, Hail

I am not Betting against The Seahawks especially with The Panthers especially in that stadium...So what they beat a crummy Atlanta team.
And The Seahawks will show no mercy. Cam Newton will leave this game after brutal duress.

GOOG LUCK TO YOU :mj05:

Man Newton just cant be trusted with his inconsistant ass.

The dude throws hard and receivers often drop close balls just for that reason. Then the worst is Newton air mails it over their heads ......... alot.

got a feeling Carolina gets behind early and just wires it in and goes home with tail between the legs.

1st of all forget this years game Panthers played possum game before @ GB getting trashed wire to wire 38-17 cause they knew they Had Seattle at home next week!

BIG whopp they covered as a 7 p[oint puupy the orginal spread of 5 was enough and it was 1 pm early game on oct 26th so WTF was that on thursday night at home vs Div rival who couldnt by a win away The Saints yes they got spanked as a 3 1/2 home dog 28-10

NO wonder Seahwks are 11 1/2 point chalk any way read my thread you will realize that added injuries to pnathers just sealed thier fate players OUT on the IR list Broken foot!

I truly feel sorry for any of you backing Panthers Plus points because that's a losing proposition

This is thee worst team ever in playoffs div round worse than the 7-9 seahwks or 8-7-1 Packers Last year!

MY fully handicapped final scores will be this SEAHAWKS 69 Panthers 3 if Seattle wants too they could do that but it will be this real;istically Seahwks 32 Panthers 3 or low score Seahwks 21 panthers 0 or this one Seahwks 24 Panthers 6 YOU will not see Panthers win this game I guarantee it your a foll thinking that will happen even if by some miracle the QB gets knocked out and they need second stringer to come in to finsih the game Seattle wins.

OKAY Jackie Gleason, I'm gonna ride with you on a 10 point teaser with Carolina....I'll have it both ways......I put in Seattle + 650 about 5-6 weeks ago for $200 to win Super Bowl.....
The last games Seattle has be playing the Killers that they are...This is interesting because nobody believed me when i told them Seattle would Brutalize the Broncos ! Good Luck My Man , i just need Seattle by 1 point only:toast:
