Just a heads up guys, there is a scheduling factor to consider for tonight's tilt in Calgary. The league did the Flames no favors with this quirky scheduling. Calgary is playing their 4th game in 6 nights tonight. After playing Washington on Saturday the team hoped on a plane and flew across the Country. They played @ Toronto on Monday (won), than traveled down to play Buffalo Tuesday (won), then got on a plane and flew back across the Country to Calgary. They had last night off, and now catch a Colorado team that has been rested since Saturday. Brian Burke was mentioning during his analysis on Sportsnet up here how ridiculous it is for a Western team to fly all the way East just to play 2 games back to back. He said GM's generally want ideally 5 games when they fly across the Country. It is rare for a team to trek such a distance to play so few games.
Colorado is rested, and play solid puck on the road as is evident by their 5-2 road record. The Flames have struggled at times at home, they have not been playing their best hockey on home ice. Since Pittsburg whopped them last week they have played much better hockey. However, I look for them to come up short tonight. In my opinion Colorado is the only way to play this. I am also looking at the over.
