Son, if you go to OU, you will get to run up the score on lesser teams, like UT Chatt, be classless & throw the ball when up 44 to pad the score &, lose to Texas, but you will then still get a chance to be disgraced in your BCS bowl games.

Did I hear Bob Stoops call in to the TAMU/UT game and whine on Thursday?:142smilie :142smilie

Talk about class. Mack Brown whining on National Television while OU was putting the smack down on the road in Stillwater.:nono: :nono: :nono:

Funny how the "classless" Stoops brothers did not vote in the final poll but Coach Mack did!:nono: :nono:

So who is the better team OU or UT?

The schools did play if you recall...something like 45-35...how can you say even if you end up winning the NC that you were better than the Horns?

You know OU is not deep down, you just got very lucky due to the tie-break BS.

OU would be favored in the rematch.

Do you think Oregon State is better than USC? They beat them!

Do you think Tex. Tech is better than Texas?
They beat them!

This is how the system works. In a head to head deal, Texas would have won the tie-breaker. That is not what we had, so deal with it.

No one wants to listen to you, Mack Brown, and the rest of the teasips whine about it for the next decade.

maybe OU will lose to Mizzou and you can get into the Nat. Championship. You never know what will happen. Might be a mudfest in KC next weekend neutralizing OU's speed.

Funny how OU got 2 place first place votes in the coaches poll(guessing Leech and Sumlin). Pathetic if any coach really believes a 1 loss team deserve to really be #1 over an unbeaten SEC team.
And Texas got ZERO 1st place votes so Mack didn't throw Texas ahead of Bama.

That was your difference.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but how do you beat someone heads up on a neutral field, not on some fluke last play or something, and still get overtaken by that team, the only answer is a flawed system, and any argument otherwise is baseless...

Maybe I am wrong, but I coulda swore it had something to do w/ some type of probation OU was given.

That was just a rumor that Texas fans came up with. Stoops doesn't agree that the coaches votes are kept secret. He thinks that they should be made public every week so he is in a sense protesting the rule. It will be interesting to see how much the coaches poll changes next week when the votes are made public. My guess is that OU will make a big jump up over Texas when the coaches are accountable for their votes.

You will never know, the reality of it because by then OU will have played another game.

IF they trounce Mizzou that could be a legit reason as to why they would improve in the coaches poll.

What I can't understand is why folks can't grasp that "head to head" doesn't mean a damn thing in a three way tie. Texas cannot play the "head to head" card here any more than TT or Oklahoma. They should have taken care of business Lubbock. They didn't and now they're at the mercy of the screwed up system we have in college football. Deal with it.
