great to see another boxing guy step into the mix.....there is a growing number of boxing afficionados offering some interesting info at madjacks....you mentioned juan marquez and that you were willing to lay reasonable odds on his bout vs medina.....well,i had my largest wager in years sitting on the table when he was laying somewhere in the -200`s vs injin chi only to have the bout cancelled....a perfect set-up at an extremely reasonable price.........chi is the type that would stand in vs marquez,and that wasn`t going to be a very good idea....marquez is a slashing puncher that takes the heart from his opposition....has all the tools....just seems to chop guys down....why he never seems to be mentioned in the mix with the barrera`a and the morales` is surprising to me....i think the very strange loss to freddie norwood has hurt his reputation,,,,,has to be one of the strangest fights i`ve ever seen.....i do like marquez vs medina,but not nearly as much as the chi fight and i`m not laying almost-500 on anybody in anything....i don`t think -375 is a bad wager....i just hate laying large odds in a sport where cuts,head butts,shaky promoters and judging are the norm rather than the exception....medina is a wily old vet that has a tendency to surprise in big fights(ala tapia..who by the way never thrilled me based on his level of competiton).....but,i am in no way comparing tapia to marquez....marquez(in my opinion)is much the better guy.....but,the norwood fight showed that even the best can run into trouble vs quick, slick spoilers(and a lefty at that)....no doubt,norwood was one of the top feathers at the time.....medina has the slick,awkward style,but,not the quicks......minimal punching power......my guess is he`ll try to outwork marquez(he will throw a heavy volume of punches)....but,marquez` punches are punishing....i like marquez also....just not a big odds guy....lets get him in with ,say,a morales or even a barrera.... we know hamed wanted no part of him..i suspect that based on public perception,we`d get decent odds with marquez..... but,based on the medina odds,the books aren`t stupid.....-475 is almost fair odds in my book....just don`t like that kind of stake vs a very experienced awkward guy....best of luck with the wager....i`ve hit a number of underdogs in a row myself....check me out under "sphincter"(i`ve gotta have the most f-cked up handles anywhere in any forum
