For a while I have been using pinnacle for the dime lines for baseball and never had a problem with them until this point.
Earlier tonight, right about game time, I bet the padres for 200 at +119. 200/238. It was right about game time, and then I was looking through my account like I always do to check for errors and such. I brought up the padre play in my pending account and saw that it was cancelled. I thought damn, I must not have gotten it in on time, oh well. I logged out and logged back on to see if the funds were given back to me, and they were. Case closed, right. I go about the rest of my evening and log on about 20 minutes ago to place my wagers for tomorrows action. I notice that the $200 was missing. I check my wagers that have gone through and now the bet is graded as a loss. **** that. The following is the customer service that I received from them.

Editing out personal info:

First e-mail:

To Whom It may Concern,

Response from the MENSA grad working customer service:

Please be advised that the result in the MLB game you wagered on was
> >Philadelphia 5 vs. San Diego 4. Therefore your wager on San Diego padres
> >was
> >graded as a loss.
> >
> >We hope this answers your question.

No shit for brains that doesn't answer my question or come close to solving the issue.

e-mail #2:
Are you kidding me. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING TO YOU. In the
>first inning I checked my pending wagers and it said that my bet was
>cancelled. The money was refunded to my account. NO ACTION. You cancelled
>the bet before the game for some reason. I just assumed I got it in too
>late or something, but YOU CANCELLED IT NOT ME. The bet must have gotten in
>late or something, but you cancelled it. You sure as hell weren't going to
>pay me if I won, but now you want the bet because it lost. If you do not
>correct this, please cancel my $300 bet on the Expos for tomorrow and
>refund
>my account. I will be withdrawing the entire amount if you don't fix this
>error. I know a ton of other books who would like my business. It's too
>bad,
>because all the message forums I have ever been on have rated you with good
>customer support, but I must now inform them how wrong they are. PLEASE
>RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. Thank you and have a nice day.

As of yet, 3 hours later, no response.

Anybody else have a problem like this?

I think you are being a little trigger happy calling Pinnacle out like this.... It looks like maybe someone thought either the was a pitching cheange otr the game went off. Jack will get it straightened out for ya. Pinnacle is the best out there

Wasn't necessarily trying to bash pinnacle, rather than get this problem worked out. I think its fair that we should all police all the books. It is our job to keep books honest. This is a serious problem and I was wondering if it happened to anybody else. I have that right. I agree they are a first rate book, but will change my opinion drastically if nothing comes to resolution. I understand that with their great lines, they aren't necessarily into customer service as much, but this matter still needs to be resolved. I have sent over 10 e-mails now, and everytime I get an automated response saying they are looking into it, but nothing has come of it.

RESOLUTION

Well, first let me say that pinnacle did come up with some sort of resolution within 24 hours. I guess that the title of this thread was a little harsh and I do apologize and was pissed at the time. I have been using offshore for six years and never had a major problem, but still don't trust them 100%. I will NEVER know if my bet would have been graded as a winner if the padres had won. BUT, being the standup guy that I am, I deserved to lose the bet and don't mind cause I did want action on it. I will give pinnacle the benefit of the doubt and assume that my bet would have had action if it had won, but I don't know how much I entirely believe that. Pinnacle finally responded that there was an automation glitch and that the bet had action the entire time. That if I would have looked later on during the game, the bet did have action. I say whatever, give them the benefit of the doubt and will continue to use their book because of the great lines. Customer service while not the greatest, at least did something. They did credit my account $25 for the trouble they caused and like I said I deserve to lose cause I did want action on the bet. Just frustrating at times to deal with all technology and not people.

I wouldn't have been satisfied with that answer. If it was no action before the game started, then it was no action, PERIOD. I would call them. I understand what u mean about wanting to make the play, but you aren't the one that cancelled it, they are. Lose or not, it still was a no action. Any way u can prove that the bet was credited back to your account? Does that show as a transaction in your history, or is it just your word against theirs? GL!

i agree with the others. If they knew that there was a glitch, they should have contacted those players who was affected. i am also disappointed with their "settlement". they just threw you a bone.

forget the emails, call them.

i use pinnacle and maybe i havent looked close enough, but i dont think they have an easy way to call them

there is some european number to call, but no direct 800 #...

the other books i use all have a easy contact number to call in wagers or talk to customer service

i have emailed them (pinnacle) and they were relatively fast

dont get me wrong, i like pinnacles early lines and ease of using them, but they should have a US number too...so you could have talked to a mgr or something...

still think you should get your money back...doesnt matter if it was a glitch or not...if you had spent that money that was credited back to your account, what excuse would they have had then?

your decision ez$, but i would let them know my point and my reasoning...their excuse seems a bit fishy to me

best of luck

ajoytoy, the number is purposefully not readily available, but u could do a search here and find it pretty easily. You can call them directly.

Scott of the books that you mention with phone numbers on the website. DO any offer reduced juice like Pinnacle? My guess is more than likely not. Main reason for the phone number issue is to keep cost down and drive as many foks as they can to the net...

Bottom line......they should have given you the money back......it's just that simple :nono:

and as for phone #..........every business, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS should have phone #'s, address, etc. etc. .........sheesh learn that in the first day of Business Class

Customer should never...and I mean NEVER have to search for something as simple as a phone #......I mean come on :nono: :nono: :nono:

Sometimes ya just have to shake your head.......there is something called common sense........imagine owning your own business and saying "no, that's ok....our customers don't need our phone number.........it's a great way to cut costs!!"
