Lebanon, PA (AHN) -- A 31-year-old man had to be rescued Sunday from a Lebanon, Pennsylvania port-o-potty after getting stuck, naked and waist deep, in the holding tank.
Shannon P. Hunter was drunk when firefighters arrived on the scene. According to the York Daily record, emergency crews had to cut away the toilet around Hunter because he was wedged in tightly. He told them he was drunk and fell in, but only shrugged his shoulders when they asked why he was nude.
Hunter had to be decontaminated before paramedics could care for his scrapes and bruises at the spot where he was stuck, due to the probable health problems associated with human waste and the formaldehyde-based chemicals used in the water in the holding tank.
Firefighters estimate Hunter was stuck for about a half-hour before his yelling for help was noticed. It took about 25 minutes to get him out.
Hunter was charged with public drunkenness and creating a health-code violation.
