Round 1 plays:
Ignacio Garrido to beat Darren Fichardt -111 @ Bet365 [2pts]
Ignacio Garrido to beat Pablo Martin -120 @ Paddy Power [1pt]
Not only has Garrido made the cut in 11 of his last 12 starts, but his form is as good as it has been for a long time: last week he was top-ranked in greens in regulation en route to finishing 11th. I really can't see him having a poor week this week. Fichardt was a regular on the European Tour until he lost his Card in 2007 and hasn't even featured in a Tour event outside South Africa for over a year. So while he may have an impressive record on his home Tour, he is still short of the level currently attained by Garrido (he finished four shots behind him last week). In terms of Martin, I'd expect a post-victory reaction, particularly as he has recorded just other top-10 finish in the last 2 1/2 years; Garrido has finished 11th or better in five of his last eleven starts, apart from just missing one cut.
