With the big fish off elsewhere the rest get their chance of glory or to retain their card - 3 bets for me so far
Franco - top 10 last 2 and loves it down south 33/1 Centrebet
Smith - very surprised to see 50/1 from Hills and Paddy Power
Crane - could be the next Rookie winner 66/1 Centrebet

Those guys are on my short list as well. Have backed Chris Smith at 50/1 with Willhill. Seems like a good price for a player who has won already this year and has some good finishes on this course.

Sabbatini 66/1 Bet365. 5th in his last start and the course should suit him.

Smith 50/1 @ Sia with place only option available also Ian. Took a little of that when they 1st dropped em.
They also have Brooks and Senden @ 100/1 which I am currently taking a gander at. Was hoping for good #s on Forseman but none to be found yet. Thought 365 was quite genererous with 66/1 on Gossett and put some unofficial E/W cheese there

One interesting outsider - only 50/1 Ladbrokes but 250/1 Centrebet is Patrick Moore (not the astronomer!).
Just earned battlefield promotion to the main tour by winning the Buy.com TC last week - his 3rd of the year. He comes here with his card secure and the price looks big to me.

outrights; As of now only have 1 book with place only as Oly will probably not put any up and 5dimes has none up yet.
To place for 1/2 unit @ SIA

First a couple of vets.
Cook: 10/1
Not but 7 players in tour champship have more top 5's this year.
These odds are more than generous.

Lewis: 12.5/1 not quite as good as Cook but close.Equals or betters 35% of field in tour champ in top 5's in 2002..

---and a couple of youngins

Chris Smith: 12.5/1 2 top tens here in 3 tries, has been different player since winning in June missing only one cut since.

Micheel: Will play him but will wait to see lines at 5dimes if they carry this event.Currently 10/1 @ Sia and don't think they will reduce so will wait till declaring which book and odds.
Another youngster who has gotten confidence. No rd over par in last 4 events and has thrown in 3/64's in the mix.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
5dimes up now and will play Micheel there @ 16/1 to place (top5)

we have a new type of KOD on Smith, he is also receiving same treatment in another forum, and Chapman has tipped in Racing Post...I can hear the locks snapping shut on the bookies satchels as they go home on sunday with our money...
nearly forgot
0.5 ew each
Smith 40/1 VChandler
Micheel 80/1 Sportingodds
Waite 150/1 B365
cannot leave Waite out, he needs a good finish badly and has achieved this a few times in either this tourny, or last week (mc last week)...last chance Grant!

Outright plays (1 unit):

Carlos Franco to win 25/1 e.w. @ Bet365, BetInternet, Totalbet, Paddy Power and UKBetting
Had been one to oppose, but the last three weeks have seen a dramatic improvement in Franco's form. Top-25 in the Las Vegas Classic and top-10 in the Disney Classic and Buick Challenge are worthy of attention. Has closed the last few seasons in good form and should improve on his top-25 finish last year in a very open event.

Kirk Triplett to win 33/1 e.w. @ Tote
Has been improving since he returned to competitive action last month with a top-25 finish in the Las Vegas Classic and a top-15 finish last week. Has never won outside California, but this represents his best opportunity. He has played six times at Annandale and finished 4th, 2nd, 13th, 7th, 7th and 23rd in the process. Obviously likes the course and could sneak another top-5 finish this week.

Joel Edwards to win 33/1 e.w. @ Tote and Ladbrokes
Edwards does not have the course record to match Triplett - he has yet to secure a top-25 finish in six visits - but he is in great form at the moment. He hasn't missed a cut since the Byron Nelson Classic in May and has finished in the top-30 in his last six events, including two top-10s. Certainly playing well enough to win for the second time in Mississippi.

No wonder this KOD thing happens.... with so much negativity like steved's

"I can hear the locks snapping shut on the bookies satchels as they go home on sunday with our money..."

Come on pal.... no way.... not this time... my 3 men (Smith/Romero/Toms) have been tipped up all over the internet and by Chappers.... this is the turning point.... the worst week in history for bookmakers taking golf bets. I can already hear them screaming in anguish.

Postive vibes.... positive vibes....:)

at the cut: no matches selected

outrights: Only one in top 10 is Smith both Vets Cook and Lewis miss cut.

Stan I have thought for a while that 5dimes is using your ratings to set their odds.It would be quite a coincident that their 15 matches here today,al pairings are within 5 points of your ratings. What do you think?

charge 'em Stanley! or deliberately get one wrong and charge them that way, don't forget to tell us though!

interesting 'in-running' money list on pgatour site..shows money list position based on third round scores...not sure if it would be wise for any players to look at it, but Williamson will need a strong constitution today after storming up the leaderboard yesterday! he is on the line, 125th...
Jay Don Blake is just below after a bad round yesterday, would not take much improvement to keep card, perhaps time for a 2-ball bet...will look round.

Final update:

Matchups: 3-2; -0.85 units

Triplett/Andrade WON by 7
Triplett/Smith LOST by 2
Cink/Franco WON (Franco withdrew after the 2nd round)
Edwards/Micheel LOST by 2
Lickliter/Gossett WON by 5

Outrights: 0-3; -3.00 units

Franco withdrew
Triplett 14th
Edwards 36th

Disappointing end to the 2002 PGA Tour season. The final round was cancelled and so wiped out any chance for at least the outrights to be in the black on this Tour. Triplett was only two shots outside a top-5 berth, while it was also frustrating to lose the double-play on Edwards when Micheel had made the cut right on the mark. Sums up this year's PGA Tour efforts!

PGA Tour ytd
Matchups: 101-97; -28.59 units
Outrights: 21-93; -0.93 units

All Tours ytd
Matchups: 224-191; +4.86 units
Outrights: 80-287; +167.39 units

I think we all would have liked shot at finishing but not to be DRAT

Outrights Cook and Lewis cut Smith 5th (4 place option) and Micheel and Edwards down line a bit.

Outrights - 2.5 units ytd +41.25(2002 finals)

No matches for event.
