Sports Interaction betting analyst Frank Doyle looks at a tennis betting world turned on its head as the stars travel to Paris and the French Open at Roland Garros.

Novak Djokovic is the man about whom all the world is talking. Djokovic won the Australian Open this year and he hasn?t stopped winning since. He?s on a thirty-nine game winning streak at the moment and the further he progresses into the French Open the further in the history books he goes.

And for all that, Djokovic isn?t even the favorite. Rafael Nadal has won five of the last six French Opens, and that form on clay has to be respected. But Djokovic has beaten Nadal four times this year and you have to think that Djokovic is in Nadal?s head. If the tournament goes according to seeding and the first and second favorites face each other in the final, tennis could be in for its greatest final since Federer v Nadal at Wimbledon in 2008.

Ah. Federer. How a certain company must despair that, after assembling the three greatest sportsmen of their generation to advertize their razors, the careers of all three are now in the tank.

Roger Federer is the biggest price he?s been in a major competition in many years, and it?s still very hard to recommend him as bet. That?s how far he?s fallen. Sweden?s Robin Soderling is an attractive longshot at 33/1, but the reality is that the French Open men?s title is Nadal?s or Djokovic?s to lose. Nobody is playing at a level that?s even close to those guys.

The women?s competition is much more open. Neither Venus nor Serena Williams are there, and Justin Henin retired (again) after the Australian Open. Kim Clijsters has never won the French Open but she won in Australia and there isn?t a dominant clay court player there to take advantage of her relative weakness on clay. Samantha Stosur was a losing finalist last year but perhaps the most interesting contender at Roland Garros is the woman who beat Stosur in Rome.

Maria Sharapova has struggled mightily with injury in recent years but her recent win at Rome saw her price shorten dramatically.

Soderling a longshot at 33/1 and Maria Sharapova to return to the big time at 8/1 are Sports Interaction?s ante post tips for the French Open. And don?t forget you can have action everyday at the French Open tennis, and all the ATP tour events, with SportsInteraction!
