How have you been buddy. I have not spoke to you in awhile. I wanted your thoughts on the Caps tonight in Colorado. I like the caps in this game but I am not sold yet. I watched the Caps play Edmonton the other night and even though Caps lost they impressed me in that they hustled the whole game. I mean they worked hard but were beat by a better team on that night. What did worry me about the caps was Jagr. He was arguably the best player but it looked like his team mates were not happy with him. Jagr seemed to be holding the puck alot and not passing much.Maybe it was just one game but there might be a problem brewing here.
But even with that I think Colorado is ripe for the picking tonight and I can get get odds on the caps. I know it is hard to call a caps win but I just wanted your take on this game. Thank you.

Just in case you want my reasoning for being on the Caps tonight...

Caps were beat soundly by Edmonton but they got in to Edmonton at 4 a.m. because of a hold up at customs and didn't have a morning skate that day because of it. They looked off the whole game because of it. Avs were dominated in Philly but pulled out the win and then looked very ordinary beating Nashville. They are coming home off a long cross country trip with one day of rest, generally a good fade position historically. Neimenen had been a scoring surprise lately and now he has been traded. If Kasparitis plays tonight certainly that is a plus for the Avs but one would expect a short adjustment period. Oates is gone for Washington but he was a defensive liability at times. Jagr and Bondra have both been hot lately as well.

Hey payday! How are you doing? I am afraid I can't really get a handle on the game tonight. I have been swamped all day and have not looked at anything including that one.

Losing their #1 point and assist guy and only real offensive center is going to have a huge impact initially. I had hoped he would be back and retire here next year. Oh well. Zubrus is supposed to be moving into his spot, and Hogue into Zubrus'. I am not sure if Hogue has joined the team yet or not. One problem I see is that although WIlson has said moving Oates does not mean they are giving up on making the playoffs, you have to wonder what it says to the team and what their effort will be like tonight. Jagr has been hot. I think what you saw was Jagr trying to do too much b/c he has too if that makes any sense.

I am sorry I can't add much more than that.

Nick and Junkie:
Thank you both for the reply. I think we are all happy today. Nick you called the game perfectly and Junkie I know it is your team so you must feel great.
I made a small wager on them and a parlay with Boston so I am also in a good mood. I kept my wager small because of the Oates trade.

Thanks again guys!!
