Hopefully, Hawthorne and Sportsman's will get this merger finished so they don't have to run at that God-forsaken dump. Sportsman's used to be one of the best betting tracks around, then an apprentice got killed there around 10 years ago and Lukas said he'd never send horses there so they reconstructed the track. Now it looks like a stretched out rubber band with 2 hairpin turns and way too long straightaways. I've been a Chicago racing fan for years but I won't touch that track.
