Wow faced paced game so far.

Over bettors should be likin what they are seeing.

My question to hoops gurus:

Is this how the spurs are at their best?

I know clippers are young, but what is best gameplan for spurs...

Trying to learn as much as possible about the pro game....I admit I know little compared to a lot here, although I know more then the average fan.....

Never see spurs play or watch, but can't think they wanna run everygame?

Not fast enough...first half goes under as Griffin can't cash in. SA's half court game is superior to LAC and better defensively..experience rules!!

The Spurs are the seventh fastest paced team in the league, the fourth highest scoring, but most importantly - they are fifth in offensive efficiency, which is a measure of points scored per 100 possessions. Teams that are efficient offensively sometimes also appear to be playing at a faster pace, just because there is way more flow to their game (but often, the two factors are correlated).

Last night, they were particularly efficient, posting a rating of 123.4 (league average is 105.5 and their average is 109.7). They dictated the flow/pace of the game, and it was right in line with their season average (94.1) at 94 possessions/game. Their average offensive pace is 96.3, showing how they speed you up on offense and slow you down on defense (a good team).

So yes, they do play a pretty fast style offensively this year.
