Interesting line considering the suns are without two huge contributors tonight...

Stoudemire 20.4 pts / 9.6 boards for the season

Diaw 9.7 pts / 4 boards for the season.

I really dont understand how its just a 3 pt spread.

Revenge!!!!!! The Suns will win tonight easily.

At home, the fans and players are pissed and the Suns played all last season with out Stoudemire.

yeah, they played without stoudamire before, but they had diaw to replace him. Will be tough for the suns tonight when kurt thomas gets in foul trouble. suns might have to play some zone, hope the suns beat the cheaters, actors, & complainers.

The suns are going to get just about every call in this game. IMO there will be about 80% FTA for the suns and 20% for the spurs. Suns make their free throws and they win......end of story.

The opening line was the Suns favored by two. I guess the odds makers realized that line was a joke. I liked it at the Suns getting two then i knew they would win. With them now getting 3.5 im not to sure now. Kinda like the Suns in the first half tho.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think SA should be favored at all, let alone by 3. They may win tonight but I think the line is a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that Amare and Diaw are out. Everyone is counting them out despite the fact that they still have a ton of talent on the floor and they are the home team. That arena is going to be a madhouse tonight. With or without Amare and Diaw, I wouldn't want to be SA tonight. They're still a damn good team even without Diaw and Amare in the lineup. Like you said, they had one of the best records in the NBA without Stoudamire for an entire year. I think they'll be fine tonight.

Why would the line going up scare you? The public is going to be all over SA tonight with Amare and Diaw out, so I'm actually surprised it hasn't gone up more. Hell, the way the media is acting they don't even need to bother playing the game. Apparently Phoenix has no chance! :142smilie

I show on one website that a CONSENSUS has:
988 on PHX(+3)
756 on SA(-3).

So the public isn't all over the Spurs.

Whatever. I will play the smart odds.Spurs won in Phx once and can easily do it again without Amare and Boris.

PLAY: SPURS(-150)ML for 450.
Good Luck in your plays.

And that is the reason why the line going up scares me. The suns giving 2 you know nobody is going with them. The suns now getting 3 will get some suns money. I still think the majority will be on the Spurs tho. Look in an honest world i would be all over the Spurs. You are taking away two huge players out of the middle. Nobody can deal with that but in the strange world of gambling those type of teams win a lot. When i played sports when we lost two of our best players we got drilled just like everyone else that didn't have gambling on their games.

Duncan will get fouls for breathing tonight, as stupid NBA tries to even up score on the mess they have created . Why Stern has to be the show is beyond me.

As sad as this sounds but i believe this with all my heart Duncan doesn't need fouls for the Suns to win. If the Suns win tonight it will be because of stuff Duncan does. Watch closely fellas cause i know this guy like a book. Duncan does what the NBA tells him to do and that is the bottom line. Guys like this are on all the rosters and when there isn't any like on the Bulls, you will find guys like Gordon or Deng getting quick fouls to take them right out of the game. If the Suns win tonight you guys tell me if things Duncan does look a bit shady. Me i know it will but that is only if the NBA wants the Suns to win.
What i forgot to add in the previous post is that the other player (my opinion)in this game that does what the league tells him to do is Marion and look for a super game from him and it looks like it is happening which makes me take a hard look at this at halftime.

i am with you on this one.... i thought the line would be greater...losing Stoudemire and Diaw hurts them badly in my opinion. I thought the line would be -5 spurs. I am thinking a spurs win here.

I heard the general public is fed up w/ SA after these flagrant fould (Kicking, kneeing, elbowing) and are rooting for PHX. Repoted by ESPN radio this AM. They said even people who didn't have an opinion do now and want PHX to win.

SHOCKER!!

i think just cuz people want to see the suns play instead of those boring spurs in the finalshas to make the general consensus of people to be in favor for PHX. It also makes them sympathize and be oversensitive about these * hard fouls*

That's surprising. The way the media was saying things like "David Stern has dictated the outcome of this series" blah, blah, blah, I figured the public would jump all over the Spurs. Just think it's laughable that so many people gave the Suns no chance in this game simply because Amare and Diaw were out.
