I have to disagree with you. Schilling had only thrown 95 pitches going into the 9th. He had at least another inning in him. I would rather have Schilling out there than their crappy bullpen.
Guerrero had'nt done anything allnight against Schilling. O'leary and Tatis don't scare me either agianst Schilling in that spot.
In this case Guerrero happened to get the best of it.

The ones you should tell to screw off is the Dbacks hitters who only managed one run against very mediocre Expos pitching to back a 2 run performance by Schilling.

just my opinion

Gee wiz, let me think here:

Who would I rather have in the game with the score tied in the 9th? The best pitcher in the National League with only 95 pitches up to that point, or a bullpen that is obviously struggling right now? Fresh or not fresh, the right choice was made at the time.

pplargo is right, the real loser of the game was DBack's hitters. . . not to mention Gonzo who wasn't paying attention while on 2nd base.

That was an intelligent comment......"Go with someone in your bullpen even if they suck whoever it may be...."
If I had my pick, I would take the best pitcher in the NL. Who did you wanna see, Greg Swindell? BTW, it's spelled Schilling

C?mon guys doesnt matter just a montreal guy, who hates expos and bet 20 dollars on Arizona thinking it was a gift. Thank god I played a 3 teams parlay expos, atlanta and seattle from the HIGH Rollers Club three team parlay of the year and I won. Schilling was the right choice and thats a fact.

Actually MAYHEMANDCHAO I was just ****ing with you, I saw you were online and I want to see your respond. You have a decent team right now, and it sucks when you lost a -200 or + pick (almost happen to me today with seattle -310) but, c?mon Schilling was the right choice, I swear that if Bob had put Kim on the mound and he received the homer you will tought about Schilling going all the way. By the way I lost Oakland on Monday and tuesday at -240 and it really hurts to lost your money like that.

Bobby brenly is a little crazy to hang his pitchers out like that like on wednesday night when he let johnson throw 149 pitches. Its just that he should let his bullpen work a little even if they suck because come the playoffs what would happen if its a short series? he pitches shilling and johnson to death during the season:eek:

Yeah I hope it works but if they meet up with the Yankees. God I don't think the Yankees are to happy about last year. The Yankees could come out swinging and arziona would win but if the Yankees revert back to team that goes deep in the count. Houston we have a problem:confused: Man I wish I bet on the game last night but was to lazy to roll out of bed to go to the store after the gym:thefinger

He tried the bullpen idea Tuesday night. If you remember, Kim gave up the game winning home run to Vlado. For the record, Schilling had not given up a home run in 29 2/3 innings and Guerrero was 5-49 against Schilling. It was definitely the right move to leave him in, but the right move doesn't mean it is going to be right 100% of the time.
